On Mon 18th May, a fly-tipping van got stuck on the bunds at the Brookmead Rd/Beddington Lane entrance to the 1-Island subsite. Police & Conservators were informed. Luckily, no damage was done to the woods, & the Warden says the fly-tip will be cleared soon. Video taken 20th May.

We have been informed that Merton Council has stopped its contribution to the Conservators. The council had been contributing £24,104 a year. As a result, there are now no local authority contributions toward the cost of maintaining Mitcham Common.
