NES continues to work around the clock to help our community recover from the deadly storms yesterday.

Crews have restored power to 22,000 customers but there are still about 23,000 customers without power. The majority of those customers are in the Hendersonville/ Madison areas after those substations were hit hard by the storms.

After assessing, crews determined all of the major damage occurred in a straight line between the River Road area and the TVA transmission tower in Wilson County. So far, crews are reporting at least 19 transmission lines down and 134 power poles broken.

We expect some of these outages could last days not hours, but crews are working rotating 24-hour shifts to quickly and safely restore power. Additional contract crews from Kentucky and Georgia arrived today to assist in our restoration effort.
