Student highlight: Congratulations to Dr. Ahmad Golmohammadi for completing his doctoral thesis. Ahmad will be leaving us to join @Bose Corporation. During his PhD studies, Ahmad also received INTERN funding from @NSF to support an industry-related project on LDPC codes. (1/2)
In his studies, he showed spatially coupled codes have distortion performance very close to the rate-distortion limit as well as demonstrating notable performance improvement compared to existing state-of-the-art joint source-channel coding schemes based on LDPC codes. (2/2)
