Only tried a few times.

Once I tried to organize one and everyone bailed when it got close to time so I was left having to change plans and do a new stream entirely.

One was during a collab with another person that seemed to be going well only for them after stream to tell me blankly in call that they don't think they will collab with me again because I'm "not funny enough" for their community and that I shouldn't take it personally.

And the last and one that hurt the most and honestly still makes me think that being a guy in the vtubing space is a huge no no.

"Oh... you're a guy? I'm sorry I don't collab with guys." the day of a planned collab and ended up blocking me. I was super confused cause it's in my bio, I never hid the fact I was a guy or anything either. I ended up crying cancelling the stream without a word and felt like no one actually wanted me around.

I know I'm just a really small vtuber and a dude, but I never thought casual streaming would ever hurt me as much as it has honestly.

Do you guys have any bad collab experiences?

My worst one was a couple years ago with a VTuber. We were supposed to play Valorant together, but something came up on their end. They canceled less than an hour before we were scheduled to go live. I get that emergencies happen, so I reached out to reschedule… and got completely ghosted. A short while later, they even unfollowed me.

We had similar-sized audiences, so it wasn’t like I was a nobody to them. I was just left hanging with nothing. I hope they were okay, but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

Why keep that one person around if all they do is push others to leave? Keeping that person is harming your community, BLOCK THEM. Even if they’re your top gifter!

I needed the weekend I had. Having friends, game announcements and comfy times really helped. I'm obv not 100%, no way I could be after losing my pup, but I'm very grateful those in my life who actually care.
