I like Andrey and I'd play Caicedo and Andrey as two sitting midfielders to kick shinpads and feed attackers early
Andrey has a good leap.
I wonder what's the gettable market for 6ft2 mobile heading defensively competent CM.
Beside Onana and Tchouaméni
I like Caicedo, good energy, definitely not aware of everything that happens on the pitch and off the pitch though
He's someone I'd develop as a box to box because his pass before assist is good, but the finishing needs so much work to be consistent.
And let someone else sit
Full-backs who often ignore routes to progress and take the easy horizontal/backwards passing option out in build-up when being pressed instead of progressing are a hidden cost to a team. They just pass responsibility on and the opposition can intensify their press further.
Being sidelined for the past 3 seasons has saved his reputation, I literally couldn’t tell you what he offers this team. I’m so confused why in 2026 he’s still so rated…
I used to think Bosingwa was bad as a kid. That’s how far the standard of players has fallen at this club. Now we have Malo Gusto asking for a pay rise
Maresca winning the CWC was probably the worst thing that could’ve happened to us In hindsight, it gave this lot confidence that their methods were working & they just doubled down & did more of the same, even to the point of hiring Rosenior
Pretty certain that Chelsea barely did any character profiling when they signed all these guys. Terrible gang of lads (summed up by who the vice-captain is and how he acts) and poorly disciplined. Signing Man Utd’s rotten apple in the dressing room was the final sign of that.
Imma say it.. Rogers really hasn't impressed me when I have watched him this season. He loses the ball so much. Probably scores in the second half now lol.
His defensive ability as a midfielder is only 2nd to Rice in the league. Constantly turns loose/bouncing balls into controlled possessions for his team.
