“The babe leaped in her womb” (Luke 1:41) — even before birth, responding in faith.
“Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it” (Mark 10:15).
“From childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures” (2 Tim 3:15).
Children aren’t excluded from faith—they’re our model of it. We baptize children because they have faith.
“All were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea” (1 Cor 10:2) — all Israel, including children.
“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized… for the promise is to you and to your children” (Acts 2:38–39).
“He was baptized, he and all his household” (Acts 16:33).
“When she and her household were baptized” (Acts 16:15).
“I also baptized the household of Stephanas” (1 Cor 1:16).
Baptism is for faith filled households - and Gods promises are for us and our children. 😁
Shows how closely PMs are aligned with their clients on risk, incentives and performance. I’ve had the same thoughts as a PM looking at commercial agents.
Maybe it’s just envy; but then I know (assuming no economic calamity) almost exactly what I’m getting paid next month, and the month after that. 😅 But we work really hard at scale for a little bit of $.
@Brian_Sauve My next door neighbor growing up was an elderly Christian man. We were in an extremely rural area but he had sophisticated computers and tools. He had worked for NASA developing software; including crucial software updates to save the astronauts in Apollo 13. It was real.
One of the best speeches I’ve ever heard delivered by anyone, in any setting, on any topic. Maybe the very best.
America just got a lot safer.
I wish we could go back to the military as a “male space” but the overall vision laid out here for the Department of War is excellent.
Well done, @PeteHegseth.
On behalf of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches, I extend our deepest sorrow at the passing of Rev. Dr. Voddie Baucham.
Our brother was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, who lived and proclaimed the Gospel with courage, conviction, and joy. He blessed many of our congregations with his fearless teaching on the centrality of Christ, the nurture of covenant families, and the glory of God’s grace.
We commend his soul into the everlasting arms of his Redeemer and pray that the God of all comfort would surround his wife and children with peace which surpasses all understanding. May the Lord grant to all who mourn the steadfast hope of the resurrection and the assurance that in Christ, death is swallowed up in victory.
Well done, good and faithful servant! Enter into the joy of your Master.
Presiding Minister of Council,
Rev. Dr. Uri Brito
This “Israel killed Charlie Kirk” narrative is so dumb. So his views on Israel were changing, and prominent Zionists were pressuring him to get back on the reservation, so what? You have no actual evidence that Israel was involved. Much being of what’s being passed around as “evidence” (eg, the old man being at 9/11 and the Boston bombing) is pure bullshit.
Corners of the right are starting to remind me of nothing so much as talking to Arabs when I used to work in the Middle East - every conspiracy theory is true, and they all lead back to Israel. They can’t even think straight about political questions because of it. Conspiracy thinking is what they do *instead* of politics.
A lot of people who like to point out how improbable it is that the people accusing Jews of poisoning wells eating Christian babies would *all* be making it up, then turn around and confidently say the Israelis killed Charlie w/no evidence whatsoever. Even if you consider Jews or Zionists your enemies, it doesn’t give you the right to abandon justice and reason.
In worship of Christ the King and in memory of the faithful life of Charlie Kirk, our church community gathered together to sing this evening.
We are at war but our King reigns in victory over His enemies
@SMBMoneyMike 24/7 engagement, quality control, and sheer grinding down of the soul because of the high velocity demands. (Fixes have to be immediate, everyone asking for $ off if there’s a small issue, etc) IMO better to be the fixer than the one calling for help.
