🎥 The great Sachin Tendulkar @sachin_rt, ICC Chairman Mr Jay Shah @JayShah, BCCI Hon. Secretary Mr Devajit Saikia @lonsaikia, and BCCI Vice President Mr Rajeev Shukla @ShuklaRajiv, were present for a historic contest as Lord's hosted its first ever women's Test match, 142 years after hosting its first men's Test.

This is one of the finest moments in the history of Indian women's cricket. To win a Test match at Lord's is incredibly special and is a reflection of the courage, discipline and belief this team has shown throughout the contest. They embraced the occasion, played with tremendous character and made the entire nation proud. I would like to acknowledge the astute leadership of our former Honorary Secretary and current ICC Chairman, Mr Jay Shah, whose resolute commitment to the growth of women's cricket has helped lay the foundation for achievements such as this. It was a privilege to meet His Excellency President @anuradisanayake today and discuss the current status of cricket in Sri Lanka. Our discussions focused on increasing opportunities for emerging players, supporting grassroots and youth development programmes, and leveraging cricket as a vehicle for social impact and economic growth. We also exchanged views on the role Sri Lanka continues to play in hosting major international events and contributing to the global development of our sport. Sri Lanka holds a special place in the history of cricket, and I look forward to working closely with all stakeholders to further strengthen the game and create new opportunities for future generations. My sincere thanks to His Excellency for his time and unwavering support for cricket.

Opening weekend (Fri-Sun) saw almost 45000 fans in attendance across #Birmingham, #Manchester and #Southamption. This is the biggest ever opening weekend for an ICC women's event.
Live Digital viewership in India for #IndvPak @JioHotstar crossed 25 million unique users - more than the aggregate viewership for the entire last edition of WT20WC.
Peak viewership in the UK on #SkySports was the highest-ever for any WT20WC match.

Across India, UK and the world over…the women's Cricket movement has started re-writing history from its opening weekend itself.
