Honoured to have been asked by @MixergyLtd to trial their new plate heat exchanger with 28mm ports (original had 22mm). The hope is for better flow/transfer within the plate.

Installed by @Damon_BPHR (photo taken during middle of the install as not fully piped up and before insulation).

Pretty happy with the first run last night (30% to 100%, 250L to 45C) in Eco mode (50 rps).

COP 4.2 at 11C on my little 5kW Arotherm, monitoring by @Openenergymon

Getting close to the point here where I'm maxing out the capacity of my 5kW Vaillant rather than the plate.

There comes a point where a smaller heat pump can only do so much!! 🤷‍♂️
