There's no Jew alive who identifies as Palestinian. Even if there were, Hamas has shown you exactly what they'll do if they have contact with Jewish civilians.
This is a call for ethnic cleansing from the government that funds Hamas. More people should take them at their word.
“Are you a zionist ?”
“Of course I am”.
“So, u can’t enter.”
“I’m not allowed to enter the library, while paying tuition here?”
Just another Jewish student facing the disgusting antisemitism from the masked clowns “intellectuals”at UCLA.
Bonus - Allahu Akbar in the background.
Mahsa Amini, 22, died in the custody of Iran's morality police in 2022 after being detained for "improper hijab", resulting in major protests across Iran.
The authorities launched a brutal crackdown, with hundreds of protesters, including dozens of children, killed and thousands arrested. Seven protesters were executed.
The deadliest mass murder of Jews in American history happened in the last decade (Pittsburgh, 2018) and was done by a White Nationalist.
Charlie Kirk and his ilk are no friends of the Jews. They offer no help in the fight against left wing campus antisemitism.
Yesterday afternoon, my children and their friends were playing outside our house. It was a beautiful Passover afternoon and my husband and I, along with close friends of ours from Boston, were enjoying quality time in our kitchen. As our children played, a school bus pulled out of the driveway across the street (we live across from a public middle school). A child on the bus pulled down his window, stuck his head out, and screamed, "The Nazis are coming for you!!!!" at my children as loud as he could.
Every person who has shrugged their shoulders in the face of anti-Jewish rhetoric, and every person who has said to themselves (or to Jewish friends) that they can’t publicly condemn violent Jew-hatred because it’s too provocative, has helped to mainstream and normalize the harassment of Jews and the endangerment of Jewish children. You’re part of the reason why my children were made to feel unsafe in their own front yard.
UC president Michael Drake, in response: “ The individuals that targeted this event did so simply because it was hosted by a dean who is Jewish. These actions were antisemitic, threatening, and do not reflect the values of this university."
The funniest conceit of "House, MD" is that, in the US medical system, if your problem is too hard to diagnose, there's a crack team of 150 IQ doctors who'll spend 4 days on your case until they solve it.
As opposed to *shrug* "Have you tried diet, exercise and sleeping more?"
I’m sure many of you’ve picked up how much more blunt I’ve been lately. There’s a reason.
I’ve spent a decade in progressive politics, and all I’ve seen is us circle jerk ourselves into further and further irrelevance. Every single progressive operative I know says it behind the scenes, even if they don’t say it publicly. You essentially have to never state your opinion as the ideas get crazier and crazier, or take your turn being devoured by the cannibal mob.
October 7th was a real wake up call for me, seeing so many progressives literally cheering for terrorists, and declaring war on the dignity of our Jewish brothers and sisters in America.
That was not something I was willing to stay silent on. The abuse I’ve gotten has been extreme.
My principles haven’t changed, and neither have my politics. But this Faustian bargain of carefully catering to the emotional state of the fringe at the cost of ever accomplishing anything cannot continue. The stakes are too high.
If I have to make new friends and new allies, so be it. If I have to never run for office in Massachusetts again, so be it. But I think many people on the left understand this isn’t working and are looking for a new direction.
Good morning. The wave of antisemitic crimes designed to tell our Jewish brothers and sisters they do not belong in America continues.
This time, a temple was vandalized with a Nazi swastika. This was my friend @wokbonds childhood place of worship.
Important to remember that even BEFORE October 7th, anti-Jewish hate crimes were at all time high in America. I shudder to even think how high that number is today.
But I can’t get past is the hypocrisy from the left and the media. There was nonstop coverage of the Nazis marching on Charlottesville, and correctly so. But when the hate is coming from our side, no one seems interested in really examining it.
Was all of that about standing by our Jewish brothers and sisters? Or was it about going after Trump? Because if you truly care, you have to denounce all of it.
I know so many Jews that are seriously considering leaving the country. They feel betrayed. An America without Jews fighting for social justice alongside us is an America that will be weaker, and more unjust, and frankly we will lose the fight. We all have a choice to make.
It’s not that we think it’s “very complicated.” Everyone decent wants this horror to end. “Free Palestine” types do not have a moral monopoly on wanting civilians and especially children to be safe.
It’s that we’re looking at the facts and drawing wildly different conclusion about A. Who is responsible and B. Who is standing in the way of peace.
I’ve listened to your arguments. You blame Israel and Biden.
I think that’s divorced from reality because I can point to countless articles showing HAMAS ARE REJECTING THE CEASEFIRE PROPOSALS and HAMAS STARTED THIS WAR.
Trust building measures to deescalate is the only way forward, which should start by Hamas accepting the trade of 800 prisoners for 40 hostages, a FANTASTIC deal for them.
But don’t kid yourself. Hamas started this fight. Hamas made the choice to operate from hospitals, mosques and schools, making them legitimate military targets under international law. And Hamas are the ones leaving their civilians living in tents out a fever delusion of destroying Israel.
Historically, Palestinian activism is most successful when it’s through the legitimate political process because the moral case is so compelling. It’s when it turns to violence that it goes wrong for everyone, especially the Palestinians.
Both sides have to want peace.
There's nothing that Israel can do in Gaza that justifies vandalizing American Jewish institutions, harassing American Jews, assaulting American Jews, and driving us from public life. Those are the actions of antisemites. Israel's actions are just an excuse for their hatred.
