Is your Sunday night anxiety being triggered by a toxic workplace environment that is placing significant pressure on your mental health? If you work for @GovKathyHochul
and @NYSIF_1914, it's likely. #workfromhome is needed more now than ever! #remotework

@chris_herd So true.
I don’t want to spend time on the road or office gossip. I just want to work, spend time with husband, go walk, if needed go the office and maybe once a month see each other. It is enough 🤷🏻♀️
We were so pleased to have @NewYorkStateAG join us at #pefconvention2021. As reported in @Newsday today, a gubernatorial run appears likely. We would like to formally ask the AG whether she supports #workfromhome to the greatest extent possible for state employees.
Actual true story: A member is denied telecommuting because they didn't meet @NYSIF_1914's ridiculous "metrics". Here's where it gets good. They were actually told "Not taking any time off hurt your numbers." IS THIS REAL LIFE?
@PEFDiv240NYSIF@UnionTroubles Give me a break. We should not curb our feelings because "some" are offended.
We need to be LOUD and VOCAL or the powers that be will not hear us.
You know what they should be offended about? That their safety is 2nd to of the "optics" of butts in office seats.
We got pulled away from our tweets asking gubernatorial candidates where they stand on #workfromhome for state employees. @SteveBellone couldn't be bothered to answer. Today we will pose the same question to @LarrySharpe. We know where @GovKathyHochul stands already.
@PEFDiv240NYSIF Being safe from all the coughing and sneezing! Being able to put my daughter on the bus and to be home when she gets home. Feels amazing not to have her be at a sitter for hours everyday
@PEFDiv240NYSIF Safety.
At home, no one passes by my desk
No one walks into my cubicle to ask me a question
I don't share a bathroom with coworkers
I wont catch covid at home.
Every day we are going to tag @GovKathyHochul and someone who expressed interest in the 2022 gubernatorial election in New York to see if they'll answer us. First up, @SteveBellone! Mr. Bellone, where do you stand on #WorkFromHome for State employees with no public facing duties?
It's going to bite them. They're going to lose their best and brightest. And even if they don't lose them physically, they're going to lose them from a morale standpoint which is even worse.
1/3 @GovKathyHochul For 18 months @PEFDiv240NYSIF members at @NYSIF_1914 worked at home processing claims for Workers Comp & Disability, ensuring payments to people that needed it were timely during a difficult time. Now those members are being forced back into offices that see
2/3 a minimum of one #COVID case/week, denied reasonable accommodations for literally no good reason. Our staff are not public facing. We should not be adding to exposure & put at risk. @GovKathyHochul YOU can make a difference for us. Tell agencies to #telecommute full time for
3/3 those that want to & can. If employees want to come into an office, let them. But we all shouldn’t be forced back into vectors for COVID, or increasing our carbon footprint just to satisfy toxic mgt & presentism. We did our jobs. Do yours and help @NYSPEF members across NYS.
@GovKathyHochul Your number one priority should be to keep your workforce safe. To that end, we say let our members at @NYSIF_1914#WorkFromHome. Vaccines are obviously a crucial part, but they are not a panacea as they do not prevent infection nor spread. #StayHomeStaySafe
