I get why The Odyssey is resonating so much with millenials.
Millennial generation were sold a lie for one decade since the millenium that they have to sacrifice the personal for nation and company or career. But then in the second decade came the financial crisis, wars, covid, and now finally in the middle of the third decade, AI which will replace them. They've seen that during crunch time, both nation and company will abandon them as expendable cannon fodder.
The only aspect of their life that is truly meaningful and that is worth fighting for are their own families, pets, few loved ones, and fixed and liquid assets.
My analysis of India's GenZ Student Protest.
Dear PM @narendramodi
Kindly calm the situation in all states for 30 days, the protest leaders would like to create a JP Andolan like situation from a state like Bihar via confrontation with law enforcement agency to repeat Yunus model.
Anger: due to economic distress caused by inflation, Iran, Bengal Defeat of TMC breakup, do or die for all small political parties.
FCRA: This is how powerful NGOs and their funding is, they are a cover for foreign intelligence operations across all countries. NGOs, fronts and resistance movements are active challenging Internal Security.
Information Warfare: GOI babus don't have any clue about Social Media, they are just 2 day late fact checkers.
Amplification: Arab Spring is another event enabled by Facebook.
Student Protest: due to slow and corrupt bureaucracy, lack of fresh talent in bureaucracy, constant talk on E20, Broken Road, Visible Babu dadagiri, visible gold bars, cash in raids, poor delivery at municipal levels.
Feedback Loop: too many middlemen, lack of grass root reports, feedback gaps.
Tell me what is wrong with this answer, he asked. "Brutus is the right answer," the teacher said. Dad: Then why, in your question, did you ask for my son's opinion? Do you find mistakes in his logic? In the lines he has quoted? The headmaster and the teacher backtracked, and I ended up with 23/25. +
