Prior to November 2023 healthcare facilities were off limits. Hospitals were untouchable. They were sanctuaries. Places where the wounded were rushed to, where mothers gave birth, where doctors fought to save lives, and where families sought refuge from violence outside their walls. In Gaza, everywhere in the world, there were rules of engagement - even the most cruel and barbaric of attackers would not bomb a hospital. Right?

Since October 2023, that protection has been shattered.
