사실 저는 지창욱 씨에 대해서 제가 많이 몰랐었구나 라는 생각을 했었어요. 그리고 솔직히 말하면 잘생김 때문에 연기력이 좀 묻혀 있었던 배우가 아닌가 라는 생각이 들었어요. 왜냐면 "지창욱" 하면 너무너무 잘생긴 배우라는 이미지가 너무 강해서... 그런데 이번에 하면서 되게 많이 놀랐던 거 같아요. 그리고 제가 첫 신을 찍고 감독님한테 "저... 저 사람 여태까지 보지 못했던 그런 인물을 저 본 거 같아요. 표정을 본 거 같아요"라고 했었거든요. 그래서 창욱 씨랑 하면서는 계속 놀라움의 연속이었던 거 같아요. 그리고 그 에너지를 제가 많이 받았었고요.

창욱 씨와 연기를 하고 진짜 깜짝 놀랐어요. 여태까지 제가 되게 많은 작품들을 했었잖아요. 그런데 그런 와중에도 이렇게 이상한 느낌을 주는 캐릭터를 본 적이 한 번도 없었어요. 저 되게 이상한 느낌을 받았어요. 그거는 저도 좋은 거잖아요. 이 사람이 저한테 주는 에너지가! 그러면 저도 배우로서 되게 이상한 기운을 느낄 거잖아요. 근데 진짜 약간 소름까지 끼쳤을 정도로... 지창욱이���는 배우가 너무 잘생겼잖아요. 너무 가려졌구나...

"i became close with changwook hyung while working on <the worst of evil>. during filming, i really admired his attitude and the way he approached acting. i also like him a lot on a personal level...this time, as i took on the lead role in <siren's kiss>, i found myself thinking about him often. the weight of being a lead actor, one’s attitude on set, and the perspective on interpreting a script; he must have gone through a lot of hardship. every day, i studied the script, held meetings, and struggled with it, yet still i had to smile on set. i also kept remembering the parts i felt i lacked in my previous project"

"when we worked together on <the worst of evil> in the past, i was too busy just trying to fulfil my own role to notice the burden he was carrying on his shoulders. this time, as i wrestled with the script every day, i finally came to understand how difficult it must have been for him"

His action skills onscreen always get praises, bt can we talk about how insane his real life shooting skills are? He was assigned to the 5th artillery brigade &amp; got promoted to sergeant in military bc he's THAT good. Man is action king even in real life.
