Hot take on the Gymkhana debate: build a public library there instead. Membership open to all. Maybe then we read more and dance less next to public monuments, railway tracks & tarmacs. IYKYK.
It was a pleasure speaking with @flacqua on @BloombergTV's The Pulse, about one of the defining questions in tech today: will AI replace human talent?
I believe AI will transform how we work, but it will not eliminate the industry. Each major change in our industry, be it Y2K, open systems, the dot-com boom, or the rise of the cloud, has helped the IT services sector grow. That is why I think AI will have a similar effect.
However, the ground reality is that enterprises cannot plug-and-play AI solutions. To use it well, companies need to simplify and modernize their work, and really understand their own industry. As basic coding skills become more common, deep expertise in specific fields such as telecom, manufacturing, and financial services is becoming increasingly important.
Some enterprise customers are waiting to see what happens, but they are not pulling back. Instead, they are rethinking how they invest. We remain optimistic that the technology services market will continue to grow.

Spending an evening surrounded by nature in London feels straight out of a novel. @Mjoshi77 and I hosted a memorable event, inviting clients and their families to the #RHSChelsea Flower Show.
The show covers 20 acres and 30 gardens, welcoming 150,000 visitors, making it one of the world's great horticultural spectacles. @tech_mahindra proudly sponsored 'Hedgerow in the Sky', an urban balcony garden designed by Sarah Mayfield and Monika Greenhough.
A hedgerow is a quiet example of resilience. It grows steadily, with purpose, and stands the test of time. The garden’s focus on sustainability and making a positive impact matches what we have been working toward at Tech Mahindra for the past two years.
The best part of the evening was winning a Gold Medal in the 'Balcony and Container Gardens' category, alongside well-known gardens like the Tate Britain Garden by Tom Stuart-Smith and the Tokonoma Garden by Kazuyuki Ishihara. It’s a big honor for us in our very first year at RHS Chelsea.
What really impressed me was Sarah Eberle’s 'Garden of the Year', which featured a huge Mother Nature sculpture carved from a fallen tree.
Moments like this show that excellence and purpose can go hand in hand, just like what we’re building at Tech Mahindra. As we start the last year of our strategic transformation, we’re seeing steady progress in our operations, deals, and margins. Events like this help us appreciate the partnerships that drive our success.
Thank you to the teams on the ground for making sure everything went smoothly.

#PageTurners: 'The Wide Wide Sea: Imperial Ambition, First Contact and the Fateful Final Voyage of Captain James Cook' by Hampton Sides.
I read this fascinating book about a month ago. It tells the remarkable story of Captain James Cook's third and final voyage in 1776, starting in Plymouth, travelling to Tahiti, on to Hawaii and Alaska in search of the Northwest Passage, before returning to Hawaii, where he sadly died in 1779.
When we think our jobs are tough, it helps to remember what it was like to captain a ship in the 17th and 18th centuries. They sailed leaky wooden ships across dangerous seas, managed crews of hundreds, faced mutiny, dealt with limited food, illness, threats from enemies on the shore, and were still expected to lead and make decisions.
It's incredible that Cook accomplished all this while rarely raising his voice. As Hemingway famously said, courage is grace under pressure. Hampton Sides captures this perfectly, describing Cook as "cool and intrepid among dangers."
The leadership lessons from that era are still relevant today, and it reminded me how easy the modern-day CEO's job is by comparison!
Give it a read. You won't look at your Monday mornings the same way.
@RitikaChandola Have never witnessed something like this in London ever - have been here 19 years now! This is the best thing about London, diversity! No one cares what you wear, honestly!
@tyleraloevera While I understand your frustration, please don’t judge people for eating without a fork and knife. This has to do with culture. It is unfortunate that your anger at cheap immigrant labour taking over your jobs then goes on to hatred for other cultural practices.
Ballet combines sheer physicality, grace and music to move the spirit. @Mjoshi77 and I attended Sir Wayne McGregor's ‘Alchemies’ at the Royal Opera House yesterday.
To be honest, I’m not a modern ballet aficionado, but I left genuinely moved and inspired. The best performers, on any stage, make the hardest things look effortless.
My thanks to CMI for organizing such a lovely event.
@BlueNileDiamond bought a couple of pieces of jewellery to be shipped to London and ended up paying a ridiculous amount in customs duties! People ordering from London, be careful! Not very transparent when ordering!
Instead of watching an hour of Netflix, watch this 2 hour hour Stanford lecture will teach you more about how LLMs like ChatGPT and Claude are built than most people working at top AI companies learn in their entire careers.
