April Fools. It is very difficult to consistently beat Luigi's misfire with the strong hitbox of Marth Up B here. My actual recommendation is to Marthkiller > drop shield > tipper Dsmash. You can react to no misfire > short hop out of shield > grab ledge from this same position.
Marth can shorthop > react to audio cue > double jump reverse Up B to cover Luigi misfire. This presents an alternative to timing Fsmash early, which can whiff if no misfire. The Up B puts Marth on ledge afterwards and ready to continue the edgeguard if Luigi does not misfire.
@WDBack_Fsmash Marthkiller against fireball should still work as long as they don’t grab ledge or hit you before you get to ledge. You can also read with Fsmash, but you need to start it early so you get a hit with enough percent to go through the fireball and hit instead of clank with fireball

@Pedlarbepedling Sorry to disappoint. Here's a good alternative that follows the same general idea of reacting to the audio cue with the reverse Up B and grabbing ledge if no misfire.
@varun2k02 Ok yeah I see what you are saying. I labbed it again a bit just now. It feels easier with the audio cue to jump into from a short hop (to get the sweetspot) compared to fall into from a full hop. Your concern is definitely valid though.

@varun2k02 it's just to get a tiny bit more height to make sure the Up B sweetspots in this clip, you can position yourself to start the Up B a tiny bit higher and not need to do it

Oh and…if we get 77 RTs we’re going make some skits this year :) See y’all in April!
Just to clarify: NIL stands for No Impact Land. The inputs for this are jump > immediate double jump. This can be done by sliding across the X and Y buttons or by inputting tap jump > X/Y.
NIL setup on Pokemon Stadium Grass Transformation middle platform is the same as the NIL setup on Dreamland side platform. This works from directly below the middle platform, because the distance from ground to Dreamland side platform is roughly the same.
Labbed PS transformations for Marth now that Unranked and Ranked on Slippi switched to Unfrozen Stadium.
Wrote a guide for Marth on PS transformations. Definitely not comprehensive, so feel free to share any findings.

Throwback to this Counter. I think it actually does have a place in edgeguarding in this matchup. Especially if you hit an edgeguarding Dtilt and you don't have enough time to wavedash to ledge to beat their Up B.
Marth can Counter out of Up Throw SDI against Fox. This presents an alternative to SDI > Aerial, which can be difficult or not very effective to do in some positions. This works well against Foxes that try to react to Up Air SDI and attack, but can be punished by waiting or grab.
