I think I speak for a lot of people when I say this.
For years, Sunday nights meant Top Gear. We’d sit down at 8pm and watch Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May do what they did best.
Now, through Clarkson’s Farm, Jeremy has introduced a whole new generation to the realities of British farming and earned the respect of millions all over again.
He’s made us laugh, he’s frustrated us, and he’s entertained us for decades.
Get well soon, Jezza.
The country is rooting for you. ❤️🇬🇧🙏
🚨BREAKING: Keir Starmer has told friends that he intends to stand down as Prime Minister and set out an orderly timetable for his departure
[@DailyMail]
Just exited a train impacted by today’s rail disruption across southern England - it was running 2.5 hours late and the conductor gave the most heartfelt apology for a late train that I’ve ever heard.
As we pulled into Waterloo, he told his passengers: “We are so sorry for the disgraceful delay… 2.5 hours. It should not be like that. Write to your MPs!”
Speaking for himself and the driver, he repeated: “We are so sorry for your delay”
Finally, he signed off with a gag to cheer us up, asking: What is the longest word in the English language?
And then he gave the answer: “Smiles because there is a mile between the first and the last s” 😎
