I would stress the final line of Hala article: Syria’s recovery will depend, in large part, on whether Syrians can build a viable future inside their country. Rebuilding Syria after Assad is a shared responsibility for Syrians inside the country and across the diaspora. Economic recovery, institutional reform, improved public services, and the restoration of trust will all be essential to making the transition sustainable. The coming period will require patience, realism, and broad participation, so that the hope created by political change can gradually translate into better living conditions and a more stable national future.
