Plucking eyebrows isn't a new thing, you know - this pair in our collection are Roman!
They were discovered in Wavendon Gate.
No word on whether our ancestors also used to visit the salon for a tint, though.

In days gone by, households would have commonly bought their flour in sacks - a supply which would have lasted for three months or so.
Before it could be used it would need to be sieved to get rid of the weevil beetles that would be feeding on the flour!
A look back to the Milton Keynes Carnival in 1996, and the Citizen newspaper's bouncy castle was dominating the space.
With thanks to our friends @livingarchive1 for this image.
