Today, we are celebrating the Friends of the Market and their monumental achievement 51 years ago.

On Nov 2, 1971, Seattle citizens voted to keep #PikePlaceMarket. The vote ended a 7-year battle, established the Market as a historic district & created the Pike Place Market PDA.
