With the people as my strength and democracy as my path, I stepped forward today to file my nomination.

Everything I have worked for has always been centred around the well-being of my people. It is their trust, their affection, and their support that continues to guide this journey to protect Bengal’s progress and to stand firm against the Bangla-Birodhi forces that seek to take it backwards.

The love and blessings I received today were a powerful reminder of what we stand for; a Bengal that chooses unity, dignity, and development. In Bengal, every caste, every creed, every religion stands equal and that is our biggest strength and our identity. And today, this is a fight for democracy, for your identity, for your home, and for your rights, a fight we must win together.

I urge every citizen of Bengal to support our Trinamool Congress candidates across the state and strengthen this collective resolve for continued progress.

What we are witnessing is deeply concerning. There are growing indications of a coordinated attempt to interfere with the democratic rights of the people of Bengal - with the BJP at the centre of it and the ECI seemingly looking the other way.

People deserve to know what is happening to their votes. This isn’t a small issue- It goes to the very heart of free and fair elections.

We are receiving credible reports from several districts that large numbers of Form 6 applications (New Voters) are being submitted in a questionable manner. These are not routine additions. There are serious concerns that many of these entries may be linked to individuals who have no real connection to Bengal—people who don’t live here, don’t work here and have no stake in the state.

The video only adds to these concerns. It appears to show thousands of such forms being processed and stacked, raising valid questions about the scale and intent behind this exercise.

We have seen similar concerns being raised in other states during elections. Bengal cannot be allowed to go down that path.

Take a moment to watch this. Ask questions. Because this is not just about politics- it’s about protecting the integrity of our vote. This is the kind of “PARIBORTON” the BJP seeks to impose on Bengal.

Today, I place before the people my 10 ‘Protigya’ for Bengal.

My commitments span every pillar of governance, strengthening support for women, youth, farmers, landless agricultural labourers, and the elderly; advancing education and healthcare; ensuring housing and piped drinking water for every household; strengthening administration; and transforming Bengal into the Gateway of trade for Eastern India.

Through these pledges, I reiterate my resolve to sustain the momentum of progress with renewed vigour in the fourth term of my Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, and to further strengthen Bengal’s position as one of the leading states of the nation.

I am happy to announce that our Ma-Mati-Manush government has delivered on its promise to all its employees and pensioners, and to lakhs of teachers and non-teaching staff of our educational institutions, as well as employees/ pensioners of our other grant-in-aid instititions like panchayats, municipal bodies, other local bodies etc.

They will start receiving their ROPA 2009 DA arrears from March 2026 onwards as per the modalities detailed out in the Notifications issued by our Finance Department.

আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবসের শুভক্ষণে সারা বিশ্বের সবাইকে জানাই আমার অনেক শুভনন্দন।

আমি কুর্নিশ জানাই এই বাংলার মাটিকে – এ মাটি প্রীতিলতা ওয়াদ্দেদারের মাটি, এ মাটি মাতঙ্গিনী হাজরার মাটি, এ মাটি কল্পনা দত্ত, বীণা দাশ, সুনীতি চৌধুরীর মাটি, এ মাটি মাদার টেরিজার মাটি।

আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবসের এই শুভক্ষণে একটা বিশেষ কাজ আমরা করেছি। 'যুবসাথী' প্রকল্পে টাকা দেবার কথা ছিল আগামী এপ্রিল মাস থেকে। আজকের দিনে যুবসমাজকে সম্মান জানিয়ে গতকাল থেকেই 'যুবসাথী' প্রকল্পের টাকা দেওয়া আমরা শুরু করেছি। গতকাল থেকেই প্রায় ১ কোটি আবেদনকারীর ব্যাঙ্ক একাউন্টে টাকা যাওয়া শুরু হয়ে গেছে। আমি সকলকে জানাই উষ্ণ অভিনন্দন।

আমরা সবসময় চেষ্টা করি এভাবেই সর্বস্তরের, সকল মানুষের পাশে থাকতে। আর অন্যদিক���, কেন্দ্র সরকারের কাজ শুধু মানুষকে হয়রানি করা। গ্যাসের দাম যেভাবে বৃদ্ধি করা হল, তার প্রভাব পড়বে মানুষের হেঁসেলে। আজ তাই বাংলার মেয়েরা প্রতিবাদে পথে নামবে, তাঁদের পরনে থাকবে প্রতিবাদের কালো শাড়ি।

বাংলার প্রতিটি মেয়ে আমাদের গর্ব। সমাজের প্রতিটি স্তরে তাঁদের অবদান অপরিসীম।

তাই শুধুমাত���র বছরের একটি বিশেষ দিন নয়, আমার কাছে প্রতিটা দিনই নারী দিবস।
যে সমাজে মেয়েরা ভালো থাকে না, সেই সমাজ কখনো ভালো থাকতে পারে না।

তাই, জীবনের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে যাতে তাঁরা এগিয়ে যেতে পারে তা সুনিশ্চিত করতে আমাদের সরকার প্রথম দিন থেকে অনেকগুলি যুগান্তকারী কর্মসূচী নিয়েছে।

লক্ষ্মীর ভাণ্ডার প্রকল্পে উপভোক্তার সংখ্যা এখন বেড়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে ২ কোটি ৪১ লক্ষ। ভাতার পরিমাণও আবার ৫০০ টাকা করে বাড়ানো হয়েছে - তপশিলী জাতি ও আদিবাসী পরিবারের মহিলারা এখন মাসে ১৭০০ টাকা এবং অন্যান্যরা মাসে ১৫০০ টাকা করে পাচ্ছেন।

স্বাস্থ্যসাথী প্রকল্পে স্মার্টকার্ডটি পরিবারের মহিলা সদস্যের নামে। প্রায় ২ কোটি ৪২ লক্ষ মহিলা এই কার্ড পেয়েছেন।

স্কুল, কলেজ ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় – সব স্তরেই মেয়েরা কন্যাশ্রী পাচ্ছে। ১ কোটি ছাত্রী এখন কন্যাশ্রী। UNESCO ত�� সেরার শিরোপা পেয়ে ‘কন্যাশ্রী’ বিশ্বজয়ী।

রূপশ্রী প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে প্রায় ২৩ লক্ষ মহিলাকে বিবাহের জন্য এককালীন ২৫,০০০ টাকা করে আর্থিক সহায়তা দেওয়া হয়েছে।

সবুজসাথী প্রকল্পে রাজ্যের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের ১ কোটি ৪৮ লক্ষ সাইকেল দেওয়া হয়েছে, তার মধ্যে প্রায় ৭৯ লক্ষ মেয়েদের জন্য।

মা–বোনেদের ও শিশুদের স্বাস্থ্যরক্ষায় আমাদের সরকার বহুমুখী পদক্ষেপ করা হয়েছে। মাদার এন্ড চাইল্ড হাব হয়েছে ১৭টি। গর্ভবতী মহিলাদের জন্য ১৩টি ওয়েটিং হাট হয়েছে। এসবের ফলে প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক প্রসবের হার ৬৮.১% থেকে বেড়ে হয়েছে ৯৯.১৪%।

আজ নারী সুরক্ষায় বাংলা দেশের সেরা। কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারই বলছে দেশের সবচেয়ে নিরাপদ শহর কলকাতা। এই নিরাপত্তা আরও সুদৃঢ় করতে কদিন আগেই কলকাতা পুলিশের উদ্যোগে পিঙ্ক বুথ' ও অল-উইমেন 'SHINING' মোবাইল পরিষেবা শুরু করা হয়েছে। মেয়েরা রাতবিরেতে যাত��� আরো সুরক্ষিত বোধ করে তার জন্যই আমাদের এই উদ্যোগ।

নারী নিরাপত্তা সুনিশ্চিত করতে এর আগেও আমরা অনেক পদক্ষেপ করেছি। ‘অপরাজিতা বিল’ পাশ করা হয়েছে। ৪৯টি মহিলা থানা স্থাপন করা হয়েছে। ২০১১ সালের আগে কোন মহিলা থানা ছিল না।এছাড়া বিচার ব্যবস্থায় গতি আনতে মহিলাদের জন্য ৫২টি ফাস্ট ট্র্যাক কোর্ট তৈরি করা হয়েছে।

ত্রিস্তরীয় পঞ্চায়েতে ৫০% মহিলা আসন সংরক্ষণ কার্যকর করেছি আমরা। এমনকি বিধানসভা, লোকসভা ও রাজ্যসভাতেও আমাদের মহিলা প্রতিনিধির সংখ্যা দেশের মধ্যে অগ্রগণ্য।

‘আনন্দধারা’ প্রকল্পের আওতায় ১.২১ কোটি মহিলাকে নিয়ে ১২ লক্ষেরও বেশি SHG তৈরী হয়েছে – সারা দেশে যা আর কেউ করতে পারেনি। নানা প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমে তাঁদের দক্ষতা বাড়ানো হচ্ছে এবং তাঁদের জন্য ঋণের ব্যবস্থা করে তাঁদের স্বনির্ভর করা হচ্ছে। আমাদের ��ই প্রকল্প দেশের মডেল।

রাজ্য সরকারী অফিস, স্কুল, কলেজ, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, পঞ্চায়েত ও মিউনিসিপ্যালিটিতে কর্মরত মহিলা কর্মীদের জন্য আমরা ৭৩০ দিন সবেতন Child Care Leave মঞ্জুর করা হয়েছে।

‘কর্মাঞ্জলি’ প্রকল্পের আওতায় কর্মরত মহিলাদের থাকার জন্য বাংলা জুড়ে গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে ১৩টি হস্টেল। আমি এর নাম রেখেছি ‘কর্মাঞ্জলি’।

Today, on International Women’s Day, I reflect on the strength, dignity and resilience of women who shape our lives. In Bengal, respect for women is not symbolic, it is woven into our culture. We worship Maa Durga as our daughter and call this land Bangla Ma.

For fifteen years, Bengal has been led by a woman whose courage and conviction have shown the country what determined leadership looks like. Under Smt. Mamata Banerjee, women’s empowerment has meant real support, opportunity and dignity for millions.

The true strength of Bengal lies in its women, whose courage and achievements inspire us to build a stronger, more just and equal society.

I am shocked and deeply concerned by the sudden news of the resignation of Shri C. V. Ananda Bose, the Governor of West Bengal.

The reasons behind his resignation are not known to me at this moment. However, given the prevailing circumstances, I would not be surprised if the Governor has been subjected to some pressure from the Union Home Minister to serve certain political interests on the eve of the forthcoming State Assembly elections.

Union Home Minister just informed me that Shri R.N. Ravi is being appointed as Governor of West Bengal. He never consulted with me as per the established convention in this regard.

Such actions undermine the spirit of the Constitution of India and strike at the very foundation of our federal structure. The Centre must respect the principles of cooperative federalism and refrain from taking unilateral decisions that erode democratic conventions and the dignity of States.

An unprecedented collapse at the hands of the Election Commission, and Bengal continues to pay the price. What should have been a routine voter roll revision has been reduced to chaos, driven by @BJP4India’s diktats and facilitated by a pliant @ECISVEEP.

Consider the facts:
👉 Total Logical Discrepancy cases: 1.36 crore
👉 Cases still undecided: 50 lakh
👉 Judicial Officers available in Bengal: 250
👉 Even at an extraordinarily optimistic disposal rate of 250 cases per officer per day, clearing this backlog would take nearly 80 days. The February 28, 2026 publication deadline is, therefore, plainly unachievable.

This crisis is entirely of ECI’s own making; mass deletions over minor spelling variations, surname differences, routine address changes, and, most alarmingly, opaque and unverified AI-driven exclusions. Instead of safeguarding democratic participation, the Commission has jeopardised it.

In order to prevent irreparable damage, the Supreme Court has now had to step in, enabling the Calcutta High Court to seek assistance from serving or retired judicial officers of the High Courts of Odisha and Jharkhand. Such intervention underscores the gravity of the failure. Every legitimate voter has a constitutional right to be on the electoral roll. That right cannot be diluted by incompetence, bias, or political design.

Is the @ECISVEEP of the view that directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court can be openly FLOUTED? The highest Court of the land has repeatedly emphasised transparency, due process, and adherence to official channels of communication. Yet we are witnessing instructions being circulated over WhatsApp rather than through formal, traceable, and accountable mechanisms.

Even more disturbing are credible reports of Special Roll Observer, C. Murugan, issuing instructions regarding the acceptability of birth certificates directly to Micro Observers in a WhatsApp group, to inflate deletion numbers. Need I remind the ECI of the Supreme Court’s categorical directive that the role of micro-observers must remain strictly assistive? Why, then, is statutory procedure being bypassed, and under whose instructions?

Additionally, Roll Observers are designated district-wise, yet it is seen that login credentials linked to these observers are being accessed from a central location in Kolkata. Login Data is being misused to generate queries and specifically target a certain community at the direction of ECI’s political masters in Delhi. Should this matter be independently examined, it will be established that the tower location and IP address of the login device differ from the actual location of the concerned roll observer.

The Election Commission derives its legitimacy from PUBLIC TRUST, not POLITICAL PATRONAGE. We shall pursue this matter before the highest court of law. Further, any person aligning themselves with or acting at the behest of Zamindars of Delhi will face stringent and uncompromising legal action. Brace yourselves!

With this belief, Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt. @mamataofficial has introduced Banglar Yuva Sathi, a scheme designed to stand beside Bengal’s young job-seekers. Eligible youth between 21 and 40 years of age, having completed Madhyamik, will receive ₹1,500 every month as they pursue employment opportunities.

Sebaashray is advancing across Diamond Harbour as a SINGLE, COORDINATED MISSION of care. Mega Camps are being conducted simultaneously in all seven Assembly Constituencies, ensuring that healthcare access remains ORGANISED, SEAMLESS, and DIGNIFIED for every individual.

This integrated model has enabled services to move with the people, delivering timely assessment, clear guidance, and structured follow-up without delay or uncertainty. The focus has not merely been on reaching patients, but on standing by them through every stage of treatment, ensuring CONTINUITY, COMPASSION, and ACCOUNTABILITY.

The trust that people place in Sebaashray is both humbling and reaffirming. It strengthens our resolve to uphold this HEALTHCARE MODEL that is RELIABLE, PEOPLE-CENTRIC, and rooted in dignity; where no one is left to walk alone.

Despite a clear order from the SC and its own formal communication, the @ECISVEEP has failed to release and publish the list of LOGICAL DISCREPANCIES that it was mandated to publish by the 24th January- today in all Gram Panchayats and municipal wards.

The same software that allegedly assessed and analysed over 7 crore enumeration forms and miraculously detected “logical discrepancies” within one hour on 16 December immediately after the draft rolls were published now seems to have lost its logic, speed, credibility and confidence.

Three obvious questions therefore remains stark and unanswered:

1️⃣ WHAT EXACTLY IS THE ECI TRYING TO HIDE ?

2️⃣ If DISCREPANCIES could be identified in one hour, why does it take days to DISCLOSE them?

3️⃣ Is the @ECISVEEP looking for LOGIC or hiding the DISCREPANCIES?

On National Girl Child Day, I extend my heartiest love and blessings to every daughter of Bengal and India. They are the future architects of our society.

In Bengal, we don't celebrate the girl child merely on one day; we celebrate her and empower her every single day of the year, at all crossroads of her life. From her birth to her education and self-reliance, at every single turn, our government stands by her as a supportive hand-holder.

This journey begins with Kanyashree, our globally acclaimed and awarded pioneer initiative to promote girls' education and well-being by discouraging their unhealthy early marriage. 1 crore girls over the years have been financially supported by us in this scheme to retain girls in formal educational institutions. Another related scheme, Sabooj Sathi, eases the child's mobility and movement to schools by grant of a bicycle to each student. She also gets support from schemes like Shikshashree, Aikyashree, Medhashree, Taruner Swapna, in addition to getting free textbooks, school uniform, shoes, midday meals, etc as further assistance from our government in her journey along the path of education.

When the girl finally marries, she gets one-time financial assistance under our Rupashree scheme. Then, an adult senior woman is enrolled in the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme, which now provides financial independence to 2.21 crore women of Bengal who get direct monthly cash transfer from state government. As the prime anchor of the household, she also gets Swasthya Sathi card, which gives her and her family assured health insurance coverage @ Rs 5 lakh per year.

Today, Bengal’s daughters are excelling in every field, from the laboratories of science to the podiums of international sports. We reaffirm our pledge to provide them with an environment where they can breathe freely, learn fearlessly, and lead boldly.

Loss of vision is an erosion of independence, dignity, and confidence. It dims the joy of seeing loved ones’ faces clearly, complicates the simplest of tasks, and gradually pushes people to the margins. While cataract surgery may be routine for some, for countless elderly citizens living with limited means, even this basic medical intervention remains beyond reach.

This is precisely where #Sebaashray steps in. On 21st and 22nd January, 27 elderly residents of Falta, Diamond Harbour, underwent free cataract surgeries at the Renuka Eye Institute, restoring not just their sight, but their confidence, autonomy, and dignity. This is the true measure of Sebaashray’s success, an initiative rooted in compassion, built on access, and driven by the belief that no one should walk alone in moments of vulnerability.

It exists to uplift lives, restore hope, and stand steadfastly beside those who need support the most.

On the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I bow in reverence to one of India’s greatest sons, a fearless patriot whose life was an unbroken pledge to freedom, dignity and national self-respect.

Netaji's call to action awakened a nation from hesitation to courage, from submission to self-belief. In every chapter of his extraordinary life, he reminded us that liberty is not gifted, it is earned through sacrifice, discipline and an unshakeable commitment to justice.

দেশনায়ক নেতাজি সুভাষ চন্দ্র বসুর জন্মবার্ষিকীতে তাঁকে জানাই আমার অন্তরের শ্রদ্ধা ও প্রণাম।

বাংলা তথা গো���া‌ দেশ তথা সারা বিশ্বের কাছে নেতাজি মানে একটা আবেগ। মানুষ তাঁকে কখনও ভোলেনি, ভুলবেও না।

তিনি জানতেন দেশ মানে শুধু হিন্দু নয়, দেশ মানে শুধু মুসলিম নয় – দেশ মানে পুরুষ, মহিলা, হিন্দু, মুসলমান, শিখ, খ্রিস্টান, ��াঞ্জাবি, তামিল, গুজরাটি, বাঙালি সকলে। তাঁর আজাদ হিন্দ ফৌজ ছিল ধর্মনিরপেক্ষতা এবং সৌভ্রাতৃত্বের প্রতীক যেখানে কাঁধে কাঁধ মিলিয়ে দেশের জন্য সংগ্রাম করেছিলেন হিন্দু-মুসলমান, শিখ-খ্রিস্টান, ধনী-দরিদ্র, পুরুষ-মহিলা — সমস্ত জাতি, ধর্ম, বর্ণ, সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষ।

যদি আমরা নেতাজিকে প্রকৃত অর্থে সম্মান করতে চাই, তাহলে আমাদের সবার কর্তব্য তাঁর ঐক্য, ভ্রাতৃত্ব, সম্প্রীতির আদর্শকে অনুসরণ করা। বর্ণ, ধর্ম, লিঙ্গ নির্বিশেষে আমরা সবাই ভারতীয় – এই আমাদের পরিচয়।

আমাদের সরকার তাঁর স্মৃতির প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে একাধিক পদক্ষেপ করেছে। আলিপুর মিউজিয়ামে নেতাজী জেলের যে কুঠুরিতে থাকতেন সেটাকে restore করে জনসাধারণের দেখার জন্য খুলে দেওয়া, নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র বসুর ��পর প্রদর্শনী করা, তাঁর লেখা ‘তরুণের স্বপ্ন’ বইটি বিভিন্ন ভাষায় অনুবাদ করা সহ অনেককিছুই করা হয়েছে ও হচ্ছে। এ প্রসঙ্গে বলি, নেতাজিকে শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে আমরা 'তরুণের স্বপ্ন' নামে একটি প্রকল্পও চালু করেছি যাতে রাজ্য সরকার সরকারি স্কুলের একাদশ শ্রেণির ছাত্রছাত্রীদের পড়াশোনার সুবিধার জন্য মোবাইল/ ট্যাব কেনার জন্য ১০,০০০ টাকা করে দেয়।
