In the late 1980s my science teacher, also the head of the A/V department showed me this film (I was an A/V volunteer why I have so much of this stuff).

This is The City from 1939 and it is a very powerful film. It blew me away. And changed me.

I convinced him to show it to all his classes and it was loved.

I love everything about this movie. But especially the part where it said we could do better.

This movie was shown at The World’s Fair and influenced many. However Cronyism and corruption took our good senses and responses it to tribalism that nullified the will of those that saw this film and saw a healthy path.

Take the 45 minutes and know this was 1939.

SCOTUS Dropped 4 Key Opinions Today (June 25, 2026) – End-of-Term Action

Big day at the Supreme Court. Here’s the quick breakdown:

• Wolford v. Lopez (6-3, Alito): Strikes down Hawaii restrictions on licensed concealed carry on private property open to the public (no express owner permission needed). Big Second Amendment win reinforcing post-Bruen rights for stores, restaurants, etc. Reversed & remanded.

• Monsanto v. Durnell (7-2, Kavanaugh): Federal pesticide law preempts state failure-to-warn lawsuits against Roundup where EPA approved the label. Limits massive litigation wave. Thomas concurred; Jackson + Gorsuch dissented. Reversed.

• Mullin v. Al Otro Lado (6-3, Alito): Asylum seekers stopped on the Mexican side of the border have NOT “arrived in the United States.” Green-lights turnback/metering policies at ports. Reversed Ninth Circuit. Strong win for border enforcement.
