“We used to get on all right… then I said Messi is the better player. Anyone who understands the game sees that. Ronaldo fans get annoyed… Ronaldo gets annoyed. He doesn’t speak to me anymore.”

He is the GOAT. He has nothing to prove anymore. How far they go depends on his performance. He deserves the respect he gets. Rightly, they all look up to him and have accepted without him, they go nowhere. He is their leader.
He is like that guy in all tech firms that comes to work like once bi-weekly or monthly but earns more than everybody. But when he comes, he fixes everyone's problem because he wrote the code.
This is what CR7 should be. He should just be happy to be at the World Cup, centre everything around the younger players. You are 41 and only one person in the history of football ranks above you. You have nothing to prove to anybody. Every member of the team grew up idolizing you. You can even decide to be the assistant coach, cheerleading the team and be coming in the last 30 mins. His desperation, drive snd ambition is his strength and what has brought him this far. It is also the reason, he is easy to hate. Lead them like your kids, not people you have to outperform. They will never catch up, so what are you still proving?
FIFA's Biggest Transfer Rule Changes In Decades
FIFA has approved major changes to the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP), with the new rules taking effect from January 2027.
⚽ 1. "Bomb Squads" Are Banned
Clubs can no longer isolate players from the rest of the squad. If they do, it may be treated as a breach of contract, with compensation potentially payable to the player.
⚽ 2. Longer Contracts For Young Players
Eligible players under 18 can now sign contracts of up to five years (previously three), with mandatory salary increases built into the final years.
⚽ 3. Players Get A Share Of Transfer Fees
Certain players earning below a set threshold will be entitled to 5% of the fixed transfer fee from an international transfer, paid by the selling club.
⚽ 4. Greater Protection For U23 Players
The protected period for players who sign contracts before turning 23 increases from three years to four, strengthening contractual stability.
⚽ 5. More Responsibility On Buying Clubs
If a player signs for a new club within 45 days of terminating their previous contract, the new club may be presumed to have encouraged the breach unless it can prove otherwise.
⚽ 6. 8% Interest On Late Payments
Late payment of salaries, transfer fees and other football debts will now attract 8% annual interest when claimed through FIFA's Football Tribunal.
📌 What does this mean for agents?
These changes strengthen player protections, increase contractual stability and create new financial considerations around transfers.
As football regulations continue to evolve, understanding the rules is becoming just as important as understanding the market.
