I could *very* easily have missed all this without being proactive and opened the wound up.
And it would have been so very easy for the nurse to share this... We were not running late (indeed were running early).

Sit down, chat a little, they remove some stitches, say bye and go to open the door.
I have to stop and proactively ask questions like "Can I take a bath yet?" (apparently not for a week).
"Can I run or cycle yet?" Apparently not
"Can I lift anything heavy yet?" The first response "You can lift things, I mean you aren't going to be lifting heavy weights..."
I go to the gym & lift reasonably heavy weights. I garden & lift heavy bag & do pressups etc, I respond.
