On the last day of the conference, panelists addressed subjects like identity, Native American representation, and memoir writing. The conference closed with a keynote lecture by Boyd Cothran on processes of Indigenous dispossession in the creation of Crater Lake National Park.

This week we are introducing the keynote speakers for the upcoming 20th Maple Leaf and Eagle conference. Our third and final keynote speaker will be Boyd Cothran, Professor of History in the Department of History at York University.
Professor Cothran has written several books, most recently The Edwin Fox: How an Ordinary Sailing Ship Connected the World in the Age of Globalization, 1850-1914 (UNC Press, 2023). He has also written for the New York Times, Indian Country Today, and other outlets.
Professor Lee will give a lecture titled "The Centennial of the 1924 Immigration Act and Immigration Restriction in the US Today" on May 14.

This week we are introducing the keynote speakers for our upcoming conference. Our second keynote speaker is Erika Lee, the Bae Family Professor of History and Radcliffe Alumnae Professor at @Harvard and the Pitt Professor of American History and Institutions at @Cambridge_Uni.
Professor Lee is the author of several books including The Making of Asian America and America for Americans: A History of Xenophobia in the United States, winner of the 2020 American Book Award. In addition, Lee was recently elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
