$NBIS I like this stock. Significant cash position. Variety of ways it makes money with a spin-out or two in the future. Core AI business in heavy demand. Significant triple-digit rev growth. It's in my long-term account.
@Clement_Ang17@perplexity_ai I have not tried Perplexity computer yet, but very intrigued. I built something similar using anti-gravity/Gemini and my monthly AI spend last month was $1.85. If looking to save expense, it might be a better option. It's not perfect, but getting better each day.
The author (Lisa's) recommendations: Consider adding real assets like gold, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and energy infrastructure if your portfolio passively tracks the benchmark U.S. equity index. Also consider active stock selection in U.S. large-cap quality equities.
I feel sorry for her clients who buy into this.
Each of her points is easily refuted:
1) Shrinking cash flow growth- They are investing for goodness sakes. Would you rather them do stock buy backs and dividends while falling behind competitors? Their investors fully expect them to participate in the AI future. Choosing not to is a path to obscurity and negative growth--so pick your poison.
2) The engines funding the hyperscalers are slowing (ie, search ads, etc)- Once again, the market opportunity is enormous. We're talking about a complete overhaul of nearly every aspect of our society via the insertion of artificial intelligence fed by compute. I'm less worried about this and more worried about our limited power supply slowing growth.
3) "Speculative Dealmaking" - This is like referring to water as "wet" in a pejorative sense. Of course, it's speculative. We're talking about the future. Yes, the deal making is on another level, but it's more an indication of the market opportunity.
It's likely there will be a correction at some point, and this woman may use the opportunity to spike the football. However, long-term she is dead wrong.
@jscherniack Sounds cheesy, but while in college some friends brought over a vhs tape of a home video. They said it was real footage. It was the Blair Witch Project. Not my favorite, but the most memorable.

$NBIS called the capital raise 2 days ago. An obvious choice. It takes money to make money, and they've proven to be great stewards of capital. The market should absorb this and will be forgotten when they announce more deals.
