"Tonight, I took my sister to pick her husband up from jail. My brother-in-law,Tony Spell, walked across the street straight to her, and she had no fear because for the 30 years they have been married, he has never hurt her, or his kids, in any way. In the jail cell, he found some of the men who once rode his bus to church, when they were little boys. They showed him the most respect possible in prison, as they gave him their minutes, so he could make phone calls(somehow the money Shaye paid didn’t get to his account). What he said in those calls is telling. He told Shaye to pay the guy for the mechanical bull that will be at their special church event (Revolution). That was his concern.
In the parking lot, it wasn’t the media, but his wife, two sons, (he has a daughter too) and grandchildren that were important to him. I drove Tony and Shaye home, right next to the church. They didn’t waste anytime changing their clothes, and walking to church right next door. Hundreds of people greeted him as he showed up(church was started) and not one, from the youngest to the oldest, feared him. They knew, just as I do, that this is a man who loves them, loves God, and loves his family. I will not give more details on this case that is ongoing, but you should ask yourself why would a man who has devoted his life to serving others in ministry do what has been shown?
When the dust settles on this case, you will see there is much more to this story. Please, at least wait for that to happen before you write him off as a violent man. He is not. But he is a man. The very kind of man you want protecting your sister, and your family."

@JennMGreenberg Spell has a lawyer on retainer who was already on the case. No call was needed. The inmates KNEW HIM, and knew there is a worldwide conference on church property next week that also feeds thousands of people free. The "bull" was a ride for the kids and the inmates KNEW. Think 🙄

Louisiana just passed Act No. 379 — criminalizing obstruction or interference with freedom of worship at a church. Threats, intimidation, physical obstruction, or damaging property are now explicitly against the law.
The family across the street from our church and Pastor Tony Spell has harassed our pastor, his family, and our congregation for years — with obscenities, threats, and interference during worship.
How many times have they violated this new law? Far too many.

I’m sure a lot of you’ve heard this story about Pastor Tony spell and how he was arrested for beating up a man that threatened to assault his wife and r@pe his daughter..
Some would say this is not how a Christian man/Christian pastor should behave. But the man in this video raises a very good point about a man biblically being able to protect his family and I agree with it.. Could he have handled it differently,? probably but in my opinion, the pastor would get maybe a restraining order if he’s lucky which doesn’t really solve the problem. People ignore restraining orders, especially if they’re crazy, and in most cases someone has to get hurt before the police really get involved..

Louisiana pastor beats up a man who allegedly threatened to r*pe and kill his wife and grandchildren.

Pastor Tony Spell of Life Tabernacle Church says he was working on a church bus when the neighbor's son started shouting at him.

Spell said that it is his job as the natural protector to protect his church and family.

"He said, 'Tony, I'm gonna r*pe your wife, I'm gonna r*pe all of your grandchildren,' and he said, 'The next time you go out of town, I'm gonna kill them, and what the F are you going to do about it?" Spell said.

The neighbors, the Sherwin family, claim Spell is not telling the truth, but during a press conference, Spell was backed by members of his church who say they've made multiple complaints about the Sherwin family to police.

Spell's attorney says the Sherwin family has "a large, industrial-scale camera that could see from across the street all the way into the pulpit."

Spell was hit with multiple misdemeanor summonses in 2020 during the COVID lockdowns when he refused to close his church.

"The Central City police are friends with these folks across the street. When Pastor Spell was being surveilled 24/7, it was with the help of the man across the street," Spell's lawyer said.

The pastor was reportedly arrested and booked for second-degree battery.
