@SamHammer I was the mastermind behind the piece for our group. I helped assemble the phosphate groups and connected the complex proteins throughout our bilayer. #trusttheprocess
@SamHammer the Chinese scholar’s rock connects with the idea of permeability because over time the rock has changed form because of Mother Nature. I think the force of rain, snow, sun, even children pounding it allows for change in state, therefore permeability.
@SamHammer One moment where I see something that is permeable is when I’m in my house looking out my screen doors. The screen door allows some sunlight in but not all of it. The screen is what dictates what is allowed in and out.Pretty cool we are surrounded by permeable objects.
@samhammer The word modernism shows up in my research but most importantly the chemistry and and physics of light and color keep popping up in the modernization of this artwork movement. Here in this painting the use of perception and colors to see the 3dimensionak effect...
@SamHammer Without it the chapel could potentially collapse. Similarly a cell membrane protects and gives structure to the entire cell. It shapes the cell and gives it strength to support everything in the inside of the cell.
@SamHammer this painting depicts something embedded in something else because it shows the pillars of this chapel embedded in the wall. The pillars actually support the overall structure of the chapel. They the building structure and strength.
@SamHammer this painting depicts a semi-permeable barrier. I believe water and nutrients from the ground could travel up the pine tree trunks but animals could not. This connects to the science of cell membranes because cell membranes allow filter what goes in and out...
@SamHammer this painting was made in 1937 and I think the artist created this abstract work with no up or down to appeal to the eye. This painting makes you wonder how he created such an abstract being and why.
@SamHammer I chose this particularly painting because of its complex tree like structure. This line seemed pretty straight from afar but as I got closer I noticed the line is actually not so straight.
@SamHammer I think this painting also connects to the concept of electron clouds because electron clouds are made up of many electrons or negative charged particles and together they form the beautiful electron cloud...
