Let me be clear…

I don’t support scrapping jury trials in Britain.

It’s the only part of the justice system where ordinary people still have a say.

A judge can be appointed, pressured or politicised. 12 citizens from different walks of life are much harder to influence.

This isn’t about Labour vs Conservative.

It’s about the public vs power.

If any government, red, blue or rainbow, tries to take juries out of serious trials, they’re asking for authority that no democracy should grant.

800 years of British liberty didn’t survive kings, wars and empires just to be scrapped because modern politicians can’t organise a court timetable.

Don’t abolish the jury.

Fix the system. 🇬🇧

British culture should be the only one protected here.
