A diversity drive designed to lower the bar for entry or open a different door for that group, I'm not a fan. A drive which builds from the ground up to get people involved and build from there to create the next generation of icons for children? I could get behind that.

Wouldn't Lewis Hamilton's motivation for better diversity in Formula 1 and motorsports be better served using his own influence and resources at the base level, expanding his own team and create initiatives to --

On a slightly related but not quite related topic, I hope Jamie Chadwick finds her way into a good seat, either in open wheel or sportscar racing. Hell she's good in both. Hope Hailie Deegan does well and gets to NASCAR Cup at some point, a lot of star power there.

reach his hand out to these communities and say "I will help you, what can I do to help?" Maybe the FIA can do something at the karting level but it's not on them to get people involved if that's the problem (and I suspect it is for the most part, money and interest).
