@federalreserve ..capping cross-currency basis. That would take today’s 3yr yield from ~3.9 % to ≈ 2.8 % and the 5yr from ~3.7 % to ≈ 2.6 %, levels consistent with mid-cycle policy ease and a neutral term premium, and does so while the balance sheet keeps shrinking toward its ample equilibrium
@federalreserve The Fed has a rare window to lower rates without stoking another inflation wave. Sell $400 bn of ≤1-yr bills over 8 months; buy $400 bn of 3-to-7-yr notes via monthly auctions. Offer foreign CBs term repos of 3-to-5-yr Treasuries funded by their excess dollars...
@HousingHumanRt California needs policies that encourage the development of new housing, not measures that stifle it. Protect the future of affordable housing and vote no on Proposition 33.
@timothysteller Pervasive municipal regulations serve as substantial impediments to new housing with zoning laws that confine high-density infill construction to a minute fraction of urbanized terrain & inevitably catalyze capricious objection to the inception of new housing developments. Sad.
@comanchepilot@TucsonStar That’s not actually factual either. https://t.co/WoLGwP9ycD plus the developer owns water rights that are well in excess of what it needs and will use 50% as much water as the golf course did.
Why Should the Entitled Get to Control Entitlement? #PimaCounty
https://t.co/WbtzcK1Gsi
We need new and responsible housing that combat the housing crisis and invigorates local economies and doesn’t become another homeless camp. @PimaRex @mattheinzmd @SupGrijalva
@RobertGarcia I know #LongBeach is it’s own unique and very authentic place and, it’s DNA, would resist a comparison but…that said, what do you like best?
#Tucson your voice matters! Let #PimaCounty officials know you support responsible development. Among other things, this much needed housing preserves c. 32 acres of open space, c. 60% of the entire site!!!
