Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar has been removed from his post, with Harmanbir Singh Gill set to take charge as the new Commissioner of Police, Amritsar.

The same IPS officer, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, had only recently exposed an ISI-backed terror module and revealed how one of its groups had reached Jantar Mantar during the CJP protest.

The transfer may be called “administrative” on paper, but the timing raises serious questions.

Is political convenience now more important than national security and the fight against terrorism?

Has the AAP government become so politically insecure that even national security concerns have to take a back seat?

Punjab deserves answers.
