@ZachCav Have about 10 million now, Jettison one of Kreider or Killorn gives you like 16 Million? Should be enough to get Cutter signed. Cap going up 10 million next year, and another 10 million the year after. Should be fine. Will be tight but will be fine.

Ducks got to where they did last season because of Leo and Cutter. so I am fine with this. Jettison one or two of the Kreider, Killorn, and Vatrano contracts, and all of a sudden have cap to work with. Plus it's going up like 10 million next year, and nearly close to 20M in two years. Just in time for Beckett's raise.

@Buccigross Yeah, people are looking at the cap hit now. I'm looking it 3 years down the road, especially when the cap will be going up by a lot. Even if he hits close to his potential, it will be a fair deal 3 or 4 years from now. A lot of new contracts will be way over 20M soon.

Don’t match: Ducks are sent back at least 3 years on their rebuild with no future franchise 1C and could take another 10 years to find one. Carlsson projecting to be better than Getzlaf.

Looking at the future. If he is a 90-100 point two way C, is it worth it? His projected path is already surpassing Getzlaf. Cap is going up by like 20 million the next two years. Plus, could see him taking a cheap deal after this one. It won't be Verbeek making those negotiations. If anything, he needs to be fired after this. Leo got low-balled, his camp told Verbeek about the Offer-sheet offers, and they wanted to come back at 15 million. Verbeek said no.
