2019-2020 @McKinsey
โThe so-called EV car market is perhaps overly optimistic in a projected 80M units/yr in 14 years (up from 3.4 million last year)
but I believe the micromobility market of 200 million units is conservative.โ

There are more micromobility vehicles in use in the world than there are cars.
300M+ e-bikes in China ๐จ๐ณ
230M+ two-wheelers in India ๐ฎ๐ณ
72M+ bikes in Japan ๐ฏ๐ต
40M+ bikes in Brazil ๐ง๐ท
100M+ bikes in the U.S. ๐บ๐ธ

The per minute price of a scooter in Miami ($.49) costs more than the price of a Car2go Mercedes CLA ($.45) circa 2019.
The real kicker is that the vehicle speed is capped at 8 mph. ๐จ
This is far too low an estimate for micromobility. @MicromobilityCo has been saying it ever since, and itโs even truer now.
But hereโs a timestamped tweet to demonstrate it incorrect in a matter of years.
Pay attention to the green.
And realize that scooters are represented only by the infant dockless models of years (many generations) ago. Otherwise it would be much closer to the ebike.
