After lots of hard work, dedication, and reflection, today P3 shared their Identity Shoe projects in our shoe showcase! Ask your child how their shoe reflects their identity!
Today in P3, we started learning about some of the systems in the human body with a fun activity designed by our student teacher, Mr. Gilmour! Ask your student about their area of expertise from today!
Today in P3, we learned that if we share our strengths with each other, we can grow as individuals and be a stronger team. Ask your child about the skills they offered to share with the class!
Today in math, we worked in teams using clues to solve a shape puzzle. We learned that everyone brought a different strength to their team, and that every mistake we made helped us learn something and got us closer to a correct configuration.
The day has finally come! After much research, design and preparation, P3โs Water Festival started today! Ask your child what they learned about making sustainable lifestyle choices to protect our most precious natural resource! ๐ง
Today in P3, we solved clues related to our recent learning about fractions, algebra and water in order to unlock the Mystery Box. Our teamwork and support for each otherโs ideas were shining bright โจand helped us solve the last lock right before the bell! ๐
P3 had the pleasure of participating in a storytelling workshop with @km_christie today. Thank you, Kesha, for sharing about Anansi and the sun! โ๏ธYour engaging workshop inspired a number of artists to sketch out their vision of Anansi during recess!
Our gratitude has been shared with the Grand River, and our community art project is complete! Thank you @heymissmc for leading us to this beautiful consolidation of learning! @rocwrdsb
Thank you @heymissmc for leading a Treaties Week assembly at @rocwrdsb . Connections that you made between the TRC Calls to Action, the Dish With One Spoon, the Thanksgiving Address and our school creed came together beautifully in our community art project!
Thank you @heymissmc for sharing about the Thanksgiving Address with me and our students this morning! Seeing our grade 2s and 6s work so well together to share gratitude was inspiring!
Thank you @UWEngOutreach for spending some time with us at Rockway! We had a great time making our own prosthetic hands in rooms 1&2 and comparing the friction of sleds built with various materials on our ramps in rooms 14&15! @rocwrdsb
โThe dice made me do it!โ๐ฒ ๐ฒ Following the diceโs instructions for which colours to use for different body parts was a fun way to show off our French reading skills, and led to some seriously silly portraits in room 13.
Thatโs a wrap! Today we gave some stellar educators a makeover, pied them in the face, rinsed them off with a super soaking and then turned Mr.K(s) into ice cream sundaes! All in celebration of our #jumpropeforheart get active challenge. Who rocks?! @rocwrdsb
Thank you @kwsphumane for bringing Percey to meet our students. In rooms 1 and 2, we learned about the Five Freedoms for animals and how they connect to our own needs in our school @rocwrdsb creed. @heymissmc Thank you for organizing!
