It was great that all of our English First Peoples 11 classes got to see Th’owxiya by Kwantlen First Nation writer @DandurandJoseph and have an educational workshop with @AxisTheatreCo afterwards. @sd43bc@TClerkson@rciolfi
Thank you @luudisk for posting this important video. Our staff discussed standard 9 at our Pro-D last week. It’s a learning journey that I’m very excited to be a part of.
Day 4 of @FNESC Summer Institute. Today - BC First Peoples 12 TRG (draft). I'll miss thoughtful passionate educators who've I had the privilege of working with this and last week. These are folks who're also embodying the 9th Professional Standard for BC educators. 😊 #bced
Very grateful for the @FNESC English First Peoples workshop today and all the amazing resources provided to participants. Many thanks to @luudisk for her inspirational leadership and advocacy.
👏Congratulations to Trades student Sarah who represented SD43 at the Skills Canada BC 2022 Competition.
🚗Sarah competed against other Youth Train in Trades (secondary) program students across BC and finished third place in the Auto Collision and Refinish category.
On #NationalPVPDay, I want to give a special shout out to #BurnabySchools principals and vice-principals for their superstar leadership! I am especially grateful for all you do in these continuously challenging times. #Gratitude
Here is one thing non-Autistic people can do for #AutismAcceptanceMonth:
Take a moment, take one tweet, and tell the Autistic community that you see us.
Use the #AllisticsForAutistics hashtag.
I will be so grateful to every single person who takes me up on this. Few will.
The timeline may feel short to some folks, but it feels long past due for many others. Who loses most when social justice is delayed? Are you using your privilege to support and enable? Or to delay or obstruct? When something is a priority, we find ways to make it happen.

In honour of #AutismAcceptanceMonth I’m posting my daughter’s most recent artwork. Yes, autism presents many challenges for her but also special gifts.
April is #AutismAcceptance Month! Do you know why we celebrate acceptance over awareness?
This month, @YVRAirport is donating $1 for every RT of this video. Choose to #ReflectandAccept!
