THE bathroom incident during hide and sis 🤪

🦊: that was probably around q3. so it had just started not long ago. we still hadn’t talked to each other much

🦊: just basic talk. at that time, it was in the morning. i had a stomach ache and wanted to go to the bathroom. so i asked to go use the bathroom. the bathroom there had a wooden door with a latch to lock. so everything’s set. i went in and sat down. then i heard sound from the outside. jingjing said, “i want to use the bathroom! is anyone in the bathroom?” then i heard someone else said, “jan is in there.” then a while later, (door sound)

🦊: yes, someone was shaking the door. i said, “someone’s in here!” then, (door sound) “p’, it won’t open!!!” she shouted to the staff, “p’ i can’t open it!”

🐯: the period when my manager passed away. i was 25… 25 years old. because i had been with p’ae since i was 15, and she was like another mother to me. she… she didn’t just give me jobs; she literally taught me everything about how to live life.
🐯: yes, like, the reason i am a… i think i’m a disciplined person when it comes to work is because of p’ae. the reason i was an easy-going kid who respects elders is also because of p’ae. yes.
👤: when you were in korea, did p’ae take care of you like this too?
🐯: when i was in korea, my contract… korea was with one agency, and thailand was with another. the contracts were separate, so i was working in two places.
👤: she’s like an adult who has been in the industry right alongside you since your modeling day
🐯: yes, she took me under her wing since i was 15. because p’ae was close with my mom… both my mom and dad. whenever i was stubborn or naughty, my mom… if she really didn’t know what to do, she would call p’ae.
👤: oh, so it was a tough time because it’s like you lost someone you felt was one of your main pillars.
🐯yes. i felt so lost during that time. i cried every single day. because… i didn’t know what to do next with my life. it felt like p’ae wasn’t there anymore. usually, she would be the one to guide me, asking, “what do you really want to do? how about this? there’s this job, do you want to try this path? why don’t you try doing it this way?” and then, when i didn’t have p’ae anymore, it felt like i was completely lost for a period of time. it… it turned into a period where i was really down/sinking, meaning…
👤: how many years was that… that period where you felt lost?
🐯: it was almost a yea one or two i’d say almost, almost a year or two. because once p’ae was gone, it felt like one of my legs was missing. i had to make every single decision by myself. when i tried a new path. i had that courage just like when i was a kid, like when i was 19 trying new things, but i was still young. i hadn’t thought things through thoroughly enough. so i ended up trying paths that might not have worked out for me, paths where i didn’t succeed. there were even times when i had absolutely no work at all, like a period where i just went quiet and disappeared.
👤: you had no work at all back then, like completely quiet?
🐯: well… there was some, but it was very little. i pushed myself to go back… i tried going back to korea again for another round, but there was no work at all there either. it combined with the feeling of everything hitting at once, and missing her too. it was the time when i felt the most lost

🦊: at first, they had a project for me, right? then they looked for someone to be paired with me, and there were auditions. so they told me they’d call and tell me in two days about the decision. the company’s decision. when they called, i was like, “oh? really? it’s jingjing?” after hanging up, i called jingjing. jingjing was like, “p’, are you lying to me? are you joking?”
🎤: oh you didn’t know beforehand?
🐯: i thought that for this casting, it’s definitely not me
🦊: it was kind of funny during the audition
🎤: you met p’janhae during the audition?
🐯: yes, we auditioned together
🦊: i auditioned with everyone

🐯: during the audition, there was a scene where i acted a bit clumsy in front of them. then I suddenly cried. i don’t even know what i was doing
