Do not doubt that if a major pandemic hits, millions of Americans will die because of this grotesque man. And not a single person better say that we didn’t know it was coming. Alarm bells have been ringing *nonstop* that this sick buffoon will kill people. https://t.co/PUXZBHP2h2
.@Timodc on Trump storming out of his interview with Kristen Welker:
"It's unbelievable, honestly, that the American people could put this fucking ass clown in the White House."
Emotionally unstable man goes on paranoid, babbling rant.
Somewhere in that suit, he has a small card with the codes to 1500 strategic nuclear weapons.
#BREAKING: Hayes: “…if Susan Collins is re-elected, remember this, she will continue to rubber stamp the Trump agenda and all that means, and mark my words, there will be MORE chances for her to install right wing justices in the court to help cement conservative control of that institution for another generation. Sam Alito is 76 years old. He’s all but confirmed he’s retiring soon. Clarence Thomas is 77. He’s already threatened to quit at least once. If Republicans hold the Senate, it seems essentially assured that BOTH men will announce their retirement. Donald Trump will replace them with ideological zealots four decades their junior, and Susan Collins will hem and haw about how CONCERNED she is and then she’ll vote to confirm then anyway, as she did with Brett Kavanaugh. So that is what the stakes are in the [Maine] Senate race.”😳
Bari Weiss built her entire public identity on the proposition that cancel culture was destroying American discourse. She wrote about it. She founded a publication around it. She championed the Intellectual Dark Web as brave thinkers being silenced for saying forbidden things.
Scott Pelley said factually true things, without yelling, without cursing, without threatening anyone, in a staff meeting. He said Bilton had slender qualifications. He said Weiss was murdering 60 Minutes. He said these things because they are true and because saying true things in rooms where powerful people prefer comfortable silence is - per Weiss's own stated philosophy - exactly what journalists are supposed to do.
She fired him.
JVL names what this exposes precisely. They never wanted to end cancel culture. They wanted to control it. Some forbidden ideas - the ones MAGA likes - must be protected and platformed. Other ideas - the ones Bari Weiss dislikes - are genuinely verboten. Say them out loud and you lose your job.
The Pentagon press office is now classified. Tim Miller was threatened with FARA for sharing a public news report. Comey is being prosecuted for seashells on a beach. The federal workforce faces proposed NDAs. Pelley was fired for refusing instructions to broadcast unverified assertions and then saying so in a meeting.
The through line is not chaos. It is a consistent, documented project to determine who gets to speak, about what, to whom, and under whose authority. Cancel culture was never the target. It was always the tactic. Weiss just proved it by doing the thing she built her career opposing, the moment she had the power to do it.
The screwworm program wasn't charity, it was a $10 million fence that kept a billion-dollar problem from eating our own livestock alive. That's the thing with most USAID funding: it looks like "aid," but it's really cheap self-defense. Solve a problem there, and it never lands on our doorstep. But sure, let a bunch of guys who can't define DEI without Googling take a chainsaw to it. They didn't stop to ask, "Will this cut hurt us too?" Unless that's the point, burn it all down and call it efficiency.
As usual our inept agriculture secretary, blaming the Biden administration as usual, instead of offering a solution to the problem they created.
Texan here
A screwworm infestation is a nightmare for cattle, causing horrific wounds and economic devastation. For Texas, the situation has escalated dramatically in the last 24 hours with the first confirmed case of New World Screwworm (NWS) in over 60 years! This could have been avoided!
Infested animal can kill a cow in less than two weeks.
Treatment is extremely difficult and time-consuming, requiring the painful removal of every visible larva and deep disinfection of the wound. Ranchers no longer have much experience with this labor-intensive process, and there is currently no approved pharmaceutical treatment to make it easier.
This has triggered a massive economic threat. The USDA estimates that a widespread outbreak would drain an astonishing $1.8 billion from the Texas economy alone in livestock deaths, labor, and medication expenses.
How will this affect you? Tightening supplies will drive already high beef prices higher.
DOGE didn't make a dent in the deficit, but it did bring back screwworm and enable a historically large new Ebola outbreak, so it's not like they didn't achieve *anything*
Fmr FBI Agent Michael Feinberg: "[Kash Patel] came in with a wrecking ball from day one…It's not an exaggeration to say we lost collectively centuries of experience. They fired people because they had been appointed by Chris Wray, or because their promotions had occurred under Biden."
There were multiple votes tonight to make the $1.8 billion cop beater fund illegal and Republicans blocked every single one, paving the way for Trump to resuscitate his slush fund.
This is remarkable. Trump is giving Pulte, who lacks the statutory qualification (national security expertise) for the DNI job the position so they can manufacture another stolen election charge, or perhaps try to justify halting them altogether. It’s out in the open.
There are no checks and balances. Even after the fake harrumph about the blatantly illegal president slush fund, the senate kept it in. And also a blank 70 billion dollar check to an unrestrained militarized immigration scam complex.
There are no checks and balances. None
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

It’s true that Marco Rubio provided over 1 million unnecessary deaths, half of them children. But there is probably no one more dangerous to the lives and limbs of Americans and others than Russell Vought.
