The mindset of “Default: Aggressive” is not toward other people.
It is being aggressive toward solving problems, making things happen and moving forward toward the goal.
Problems don’t solve themselves.
If you ignore problems, they usually don’t go away.
And more often than not, problems that are ignored grow substantially over time.
It's good to be able to just say, "Okay, I don't care who's idea this is. Which one of these two divergent ideas is going to be the better one for what we're trying to do? Which one is going to deliver more satisfaction to the people we're trying to serve?"

Decentralized Command means letting everyone lead by understanding the mission and making decisions.
This leadership principle applies at home.
Parenting is about setting kids up to make good decisions without you and preparing them for independence.
"I shall never forget that beach...one dead soldier in particular who caught my eye. I wonder about him. What were his plans never to be fulfilled, what fate brought him to that spot at that moment? Who was waiting for him at home?"
— Corporal William Preston

You've got to think about raising the bar on yourself. You've got to think about what you're going to tolerate from yourself, and how you can raise that bar and raise that standard and get better with everything you do. And thereby lead by example.

Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration.
More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸
Ryan Reynolds paid $10,000 of his own money for the right to wear a shirt with Bea Arthur on it in the 2016 movie Deadpool.
Arthur’s estate agreed for a donation in that amount to a charity of their choosing.
In the original comics, Deadpool loves Bea Arthur, and according to Ryan Reynolds, “there is no Deadpool without Bea Arthur.”
Before you start your weekend, take a moment and think about the men and women who won’t be home for theirs.
Different time zones.
Different continents.
Same flag.
RED Friday.
Remember Everyone Deployed.
Always remember that the world is also filled, more filled, with good men and good women and good people. And remember those people and in moments of darkness and temptation let them inspire you to follow in their footsteps.

The weight of your words as a leader is a lot more than you think they are, and the weight of your words as a parent is probably even heavier than that.
Be very careful what you say to your kids.
