Melissa Hortman believed in a simple mantra: LFG.

We continue to say it, because we continue to do the hard work and center Minnesotans in our work, the same way she always did.

Her memory, her mantra, her mentorship. Melissa is with us, always.

Today marks one year since Melissa and Mark Hortman were killed in a horrific act of political violence.

Both of them, along with their dog Gilbert, lived lives defined by their service to others.

Sunday marks one year since the assassination of Melissa and Mark Hortman, along with their dog Gilbert.

The Saint Paul City Council just unanimously passed a resolution honoring their lives and legacy.

The city has proclaimed Sunday ‘Mark, Melissa, and Gilbert Hortman Day.' 💚

A six-year-old who was shot and wounded at Annunciation is now struggling with long-term health effects from the bullet shrapnel inside his body:
