MN House Rep for 41A which includes communities of Cottage Grove, Lake Elmo, Afton, Grant, Lakeland and River Communties. Opinons are my own and not party.
Chisago County knows the stakes in 2026. We’re gonna work our tails off in the district, and support the candidates who will tip the balance of the state outside of it.
Proud to stand with my friends and colleagues tonight!
Fraud has been happening right under Minnesota’s nose for years. Democrats had full control of state government and still failed to take serious action as billions went out the door.
We welcome the continued support of the federal government to help stop fraud, protect taxpayers, and preserve these programs for Minnesotans who truly need them.
NEW: Federal officials charged 15 individuals in multiple fraud cases involving the alleged theft of more than $90 million in taxpayer funds.
Despite what House Democrats say, fraud in Minnesota is REAL and the Walz Administration did NOTHING to stop it.
JUST NOW: We secured long-overdue support to help counties strengthen eligibility verification, accountability, efficiency, and reduce errors to critical tax-payer-funded services.
Watch.👇
Rep. Wayne Johnson (R-Cottage Grove) speaks in favor of SF 334, a major House Republican win to finally begin modernizing the outdated IT systems counties rely on to administer critical programs.
These broken legacy systems do more than waste staff time. They make it harder to verify eligibility, detect errors, and prevent fraud.
House Republicans fought to secure this funding because modern technology is critical to protecting taxpayers, strengthening accountability, and making sure benefits go to the Minnesotans who truly qualify instead of fraudsters.
Hauschild defends his vote by saying it had “no chance of becoming law.”
By Grant’s own admission, Democrats never intended for it to pass.
So which is it, @grant_hauschild: are you lying to constituents, or was this just a political stunt at the expense of grieving families?
@Nomejodas1988 I agreed with 99% of the bill and could have got it done. In the political world like the real world, comprimises are made. I could not get them to understand that. Get almost everything and try another day. That is why I did not vote for or against it.
NOW: House Republicans are about to pass a bill that extends the statute of limitations for crimes involving medical assistance fraud or other theft of taxpayer dollars.
In Minnesota, we have a priorities problem. We voted on a comprehensive safety package for all students, all schools - no matter zip code or type of school. It included school safety upgrades, mental health support, and edits to our school discipline policies.
All that needed to happen was for us to shutdown a failed train project. The vote failed, but I hope you’ll take the time to listen to my plea for why this legislation mattered… especially given the fact that the governor wants to fully eliminate any and all non-public support.
Annunciation, and schools like it, are non-public schools. Those kids deserve safety as much as any other kid.
Conveniently leaves out why & tries to shift the blame elsewhere.
They’re pushing a false narrative because the truth is their unfunded mandates are still crushing school district budgets.
Voters want a return to the fundamentals, not political agendas.

How about we start allowing businesses to suceed on their own and build reserves for when needed instead of taxing and mandating all the ability away. #stoptaxing#stopmandates#SmallBusinessTips
