@astoundconnects Astound broadband is a joke. Talk about corporate greed to the max. Constantly raising rates despite having unreliable services. I hate being forced to switch, but apparently customer loyalty means nothing, since new users are the only ones offered decent rates.
@progressive Your social media support and customer retention efforts are almost as much of a joke as your claims support team. Price gouging 15 year customers is crazy. To renew my policy with you, or to switch to @GEICO?
@progressive providing estimates that aren't even 1/3 the cost of repairs. Refusing to look at the damages again to provide accurate quote. Been with them 14 years. I get being off by a few thousand, but to be off by almost 10k is crazy. Renewal in 2 days. Guess I'll call @Geico.
For all those who are new to the field of #PERP trading. Here is a short intro:
Perp trading, short for perpetual trading, refers to a type of cryptocurrency trading that involves trading perpetual contracts. Perpetual contracts are a type of derivative financial instrument that allows traders to speculate on the price movements of cryptocurrencies, such as #Bitcoin , without actually owning the underlying asset. Perpetual contracts are commonly used in cryptocurrency exchanges and are designed to mimic the price of the underlying asset.
Here are the key characteristics and components of perp trading:
1/ Perpetual Contracts: Perpetual contracts are derivative contracts with no expiry date. They are designed to track the price of a specific cryptocurrency or asset, typically Bitcoin or Ethereum. These contracts are settled in cryptocurrency and do not require physical delivery of the underlying asset.
2/ Leverage: Perp trading often involves the use of leverage, which allows traders to control larger positions than their initial capital. Leverage amplifies both potential profits and losses, making it a high-risk, high-reward trading strategy. Traders need to be cautious when using leverage, as it can lead to significant losses if not managed properly.
3/ Margin: Traders are required to deposit a certain amount of cryptocurrency as margin to open and maintain a position in a perpetual contract. The margin ensures that traders have sufficient funds to cover potential losses. Margin requirements may vary between exchanges and assets.
4/ Funding Rate: Perpetual contracts use a mechanism called the funding rate to maintain the contract's price close to the spot price of the underlying asset. This funding rate is periodically paid between long and short positions to incentivize the contract's price to align with the spot market. If the contract price deviates from the spot price, the funding rate helps bring it back in line.
5/ Long and Short Positions: Traders can take both long (buy) and short (sell) positions on perpetual contracts. A long position profits from price increases, while a short position profits from price decreases. Traders can switch between long and short positions to capitalize on market movements.
6/ Liquidation: Perpetual contracts often have a liquidation mechanism to manage risk. If a trader's margin balance falls below a certain threshold due to losses, their position may be forcibly closed to prevent further losses.
7/ Volatility: Cryptocurrency markets are known for their high volatility, and perp trading can be especially sensitive to market price fluctuations. Traders need to be prepared for rapid price swings and manage their risk accordingly.
It's important to note that perp trading is highly speculative and carries significant risk due to the use of leverage and the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies. Traders should have a solid understanding of the market, risk management strategies, and the specific exchange's trading rules before engaging in perp trading.
