@LGlaucomflecken My nephew's pajama shirt got hooked on a ladder of a bunkbed at our beach house. He effectively accidentally hung himself. My BIL thought he heard something (Dad senses) - Hunter was blue and pulseless - our hero CRNA Aunt did 5+ minutes of continuous CPR --> we have our Hunter.
@LGlaucomflecken Mson was 6 weeks old - at 3 am he was blue and unresponsive. My husband did CPR w/amazing assistance from 911. The little guy spent 12 days on the vent at DHMC, with lots of help from the RT team . This picture of him maniacally relaxing 4+ years later is brought to you by CPR!
For those interested in being CPR certified, American Red Cross and AHA has both online and in-person classes! 👇

I will always be grateful to Lisa, the dispatcher who gave me T-CPR instructions. Without her, I wouldn’t have known what to do to give @DGlaucomflecken a fighting chance.
(1/2) Superb article on telephone #CPR delivered by 911 dispatchers - this "simple" coaching intervention is a game changer that can save many lives from #cardiacarrest.

A brief note of optimism in these dark medical days of #COVID19
Cardiac arrest is not a death sentence - it can be survived.
Learn #CPR and you can save a life - it could even be a teenager like Morgan. #resuscitation#savealife
