Share this as much as possible, the more @CelticFC fans what share it the more it fill twitter timeline for that mob to see it and get under the skin even more. Piling on the agony 🍀
We are four weeks into a war where both sides have targeted each other's nuclear facilities.
We risk nuclear disaster. Yet the main Trump official on arms control refused to answer my question on Israel's nuclear capabilities and told me to ask the Israeli government.
Today I had the honor of meeting with Maher N. Canawati, the Mayor of Bethlehem (the birthplace of Jesus), who is also a Christian.
He told me about Christian persecution happening in Bethlehem and also in Gaza and the West Bank. Christians have been killed in the bombings in Gaza and churches have been attacked.
Others have told me this as well, and I’ve seen videos on line.
The Mayor says they only want to live in peace alongside their Jewish and Muslim neighbors in their homes that they legally own yet the settlers continue to take their homes.
There are approximately 139 IDF checkpoints now in Bethlehem which one was 41 sq miles but has now been reduced to 7 sq miles.
Bethlehem is the birthplace of Jesus. American Christians are largely unaware of the Christian persecution happening there, but need to learn about this and speak out.
What is the Holy Land without Christians?
The Catholic Church has never taught that the modern State of Israel fulfills biblical prophecy or that Catholics are religiously obligated to support any political nation as part of God’s plan of salvation.
Vatican II is clear. Christ instituted the New Covenant in His Blood, calling together a people made up of Jew and Gentile, uniting them not according to the flesh, but in the Spirit.
“This was to be the new People of God.” (Lumen Gentium §9)
The People of God are no longer defined by land, bloodline, or political borders, but by faith in Jesus Christ.
Nostra Aetate affirms that salvation is not tied to ethnicity or territorial promises, but is fulfilled in Christ and extended to all through His Church.
God’s covenant is not a real estate contract. It is fulfilled in Christ.
Sacred Scripture states:
“the Jews, who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets”
1 Thessalonians 2:14–15
Under the IHRA definition, even citing this biblical passage can be labeled antisemitic. That places Catholics and all Christians who profess the Bible on dangerous ground. Holy Scripture is not antisemitic. It is the Word of God.
IHRA defines antisemitism in part as: “Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.”
Our Church is universal.
Our covenant is new and eternal.
Our loyalty belongs to the Kingdom of God, not to any earthly state.
Political Zionism is not Catholic doctrine. Catholics are under no religious obligation to support it whatsoever.
A Catholic woman appointed to defend religious freedom should not be denied her own for holding religious beliefs about a political ideology like Zionism. That is viewpoint discrimination and a violation of my First Amendment rights while serving on a commission tasked with defending your religious freedom.
Am I not entitled to my own religious liberty while serving to defend yours?
It appears I was the only one on stage Monday who understood the assignment President Trump entrusted me with: protect religious freedom for all Americans, including my own, by challenging political and theological supremacy.
Rejecting the claim that any modern nation-state fulfills biblical prophecy does not make me an antisemite. It makes me Catholic.
I stand for religious freedom🇺🇸🫡✝️
Kudos to Chris Hedges!
The Mass killing in Gaza!
The Death of Israel!
Chris Hedges an honest, brave man is a Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist who was a foreign correspondent for fifteen years for The New York Times, where he served as the Middle East Bureau Chief and Balkan Bureau Chief for the paper.
Israel's Lebensraum master plan for Gaza, borrowed from the Nazis' depopulation of Jewish ghettos, is clear.
Destroy infrastructure, medical facilities and sanitation, including access to clean water.
Block shipments of food and fuel.
Impose telecommunications blackouts.
Unleash indiscriminate industrial violence to kill and wound hundreds a day.
Let starvation and epidemics of infectious diseases, along with the daily massacres and the displacement of Palestinians from their homes, turn Gaza into a mortuary.
Israel has killed or seriously wounded close to 100,000 Palestinians in Gaza, almost one in every 20 inhabitants.
It has destroyed or damaged 60% of the housing.
(....................................)
The Nazis ship their victims to death camps.
The Israelis will ship their victims to squalid refugee camps in countries outside of Israel.
This is the plan. No one, especially the Biden administration, intends to stop it.
The most disturbing lesson I learned while covering armed conflicts for two decades is that we all have the capacity, with little prodding, to become willing executioners.
(................................................)
We can all become Nazis. It takes very little.
in eternal vigilance over evil, our evil, we become, like those carrying out the mass killing in Gaza, monsters.
Perhaps the saddest irony is that a people once in need of protection from genocide now commit it.
Do the Celtic Board realise that their inability to get players signed, if it is retribution against the Green Brigade etc., is causing disillusionment on a scale I've never experienced before in all my decades following Celtic. The potential for not renewing next season is real.
Was reminded today of a Dom McKay story. One of the things that sealed his fate was signing CCV after being told categorically not to do so. Dom had the wild idea that the CEO had some autonomy & decided to listen to Ange & get the deal done with 15 mins to go in the window.
Think of that being the prevailing attitude still, which needs to be opposed at every turn. Except of course, there’s nobody left to stand up for the team & manager. Asset stripping managers of decline. Thats what we’re left with. Unqualified, perpetually unprepared & undeniably unfit for purpose.
Could this possibly work in the Scottish Premiership ? in the English Premier league every referee are required to declare which team they support to the PGMOL..
He died helping women. He died for being gentle. He died for taking care. He died because he stepped forward instead of away, because he put himself between human beings and monsters who wanted to hurt them, because he did the thing we teach, the thing we praise, the thing we raise our children to believe still matters. And it has torn something open inside me that I cannot close.

I’m listening to some grim statistics about children killed by Israel given by surgeon Professor Nick Maynard. You can hear a pin drop at the Swan charity event in Croydon.
