Mavrik Bourque should be a name that the Habs look at. Not big but plays big, center, skilled, perfect age group and from Québec. Wouldn’t need to overpay, i don’t think. If Larkin goes to Dallas, Bourque is going the other way though.

@ivandemigoal Barzal and Demidov would be a match made in heaven. From a skills standpoint, they would complement each other really well. Imagine the beautiful give and gos. But Barzal is not physical enough and not quite what we need, unless we can pair them with Knies.

@thesickpodcasts His offensive production to date is very underrated, in an offense that’s been very top-heavy and bleak for most part. This is a player that would most definitely break out playing top-3 minutes and PP1, just not sure he would he a natural fit on a line with Suzuki and Caufield.

@frank_seravalli Interesting how McDavid doesn’t seem to have any sway whatsoever over the NHLPA’s course of action. He’d be wise to let the process run its course, so good for him. Also reassuring to players I’m sure that NHLPA isn’t favouring the fortunes of their best player over everyone else

@PierreVLeBrun The #1 asset of a HC in any sport, is credibility, the power to influence a group of pple and generate buy-in. Babcock is 63 yrs old, been out of the NHL 7+ years and has lost a lot of his shine. The only ally he has with the Oilers is Bowman, who‘s also on thin ice. Good luck.
