🚨 NEW: Manchester United have joined the race for Racing Santander’s left-back Jorge Salinas, viewing him as a cheaper alternative to Newcastle United target Lewis Hall. The Spain U19 international, a product of Santander’s academy who helped the club gain promotion last season with 34 appearances, has also attracted interest from Barcelona (who won’t meet the asking price), Atlético Madrid, Newcastle and Porto.
Represented by Jorge Mendes, Salinas has a €16m release clause (doubled from €8m after June 30) that is considered affordable for Premier League sides, and Santander are simply waiting for a club to trigger it.
