Bringing back the buckling & beam spring keyboards, built to last for decades but out of production since the 80s, for a short production run ending soon!
Brand New Model F and Beam Spring Keyboards: the new draft keyboard label design has been completed! While the current keyboard label was based on the IBM 4704 keyboards, the new one is based on the 1984-1986 IBM Model F and Model M labels. https://t.co/ZVxqlO6Peo
After nearly six years of R&D and tooling work, pad printed white text on black keys for the Model M and Model F are finally available to order! They came out great. Well worth the years of effort.

Here is a customized New F122 with third party extras: an IBM badge and LED overlay.

Really loving this beamspring keyboard. Been daily driving it for the last while, and it's just so electrifying to type on. It's definitely not a keyboard for everyone, but to me, it's quite the experience.
@revenant_MMXX I'm psychotic, so my favorite keyboard to type on is my Model F (specifically an SSK). If you don't care about volume, this is the best clicky switch IMO because the click inherently lines up with actuation; you don't have that with the great majority of MX-compatible switches.
@usgraphics Great example of a niche retro futurism project. Model f keyboards:
Indestructible metal ibm keyboard from the 80s rebuilt with modern manufacturing processes so it’s built to last “decades not years”

Working on the script for the Model F122 repro.... Can't tell you how nice it is to revisit some IBM history again, and talk about buckling springs etc.
Much as I've grown to appreciate modern keyboards more and more over the years (well, the cool ones), vintage remains king :D
