@Cloud_yaa seem to be allergic to fighting their fellow man, the fights could be a 3v1 while permanently mounted, basically flipping the roles in standard MH

Would be nice to try something new, really annoyed at stories 2 throwing rider battles into the main story just to barely use them

@Cloud_yaa I was thinking about this and it'd be a good excuse to add some more combat against humans to switch up the formula.
Perhaps you could run into guild hunting parties sent after you in the field (and poachers in the post-game, once they no longer want you dead).

@CapVermillion Yeah certainly, part of why I really like this concept. It has a good reason that's rooted in existing lore as to why the guild would be scared of your monster, rather than "this 5827 year old legend says your rathoid is cursed or something"
And you'd be able to prove them wrong

That said I'd like to believe that the whole thing about grafting people to its hide is a deliberate mockery of hunters who had gone after it wearing monster armor.

And Stories 3 not letting you switch out (at the moment) doesn't help with that.

@RoseKaedae Given that the camera pans to the qurio flying away when you beat malzeno, it does feel like they're setting up Gaismagorm
Plus it would explain malzeno and the qurio being there in the first place

@m1les0 It's pretty solid, but the real issue is that the new sf2 player in FL seems to be very inefficient.
The project in question was made with the old version of the soundfont player in FL 20, but it started chugging once I opened it in FL 2025

@BigVansShoes There's a reason people have been looking for alternatives despite there being an official Image-Line replacement plugin, but they all have issues, and don't support FL-specific features like slide notes.

@BigVansShoes @ThatChuck59 It has a lower memory/CPU footprint, replacing native SF player with SFLT in one of my projects brought the CPU usage down from 100 to 80 ish.
It's more intuitive, as it has shortcuts to add soundfonts already used in the project, and the new SF2 player is inaccurate for old VGM.
