I wrote about dependency injection with Koin for Kotlin in Android apps. It’s fun to write, teach and learn for me. Teaching and sharing, while also being ok with not knowing everything is how I navigate my tech career

Could you guys help me find my next job?

I'm looking for a front or full-stack position

open to remote otherwise located in nyc.

[CapMetro @CapMetroATX]

Heads up:  #ATXtraffic is especially busy during this morning's wet commute and this affects some of our routes, incl. all #MetroExpress Routes.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

@JulianCastro As a person with disabilities, I love to see increased visibility like this! I hope that the term 'diversity and inclusion' includes accessibility

[Meredith Bayne @ModernieTech]

@RachelAppel Haha. I think you’ll have to be more specific about that!

Post your tech job openings or something that ticks you off about the industry today, and I will retweet it. Happy Friday 🥳

[Meredith Bayne @ModernieTech]

@kefimochi Nice, thanks!

Any suggestions for women (or non-binary) in tech who are also Android devs I can follow? I follow some Android devs, but looking for more diversity ♀️📳 #womenintech #androiddev #DiversityandInclusion

[Meredith Bayne @ModernieTech]

@ASpittel My roommate was a developer and told me I was making him depressed sitting around all the time and working my crappy job. He set up my dev environment and gave me lessons, and I had so much fun with it. He said "please become a dev, we need more women". Great 1st mentor 🙂

[Meredith Bayne @ModernieTech]

@ASpittel A lot of people with accents put content out there. This is clearly a gender thing. This person is a jerk. whenever things like this happen, I think of @BreneBrown saying she doesn’t accept feedback from everyone, just people who are also “in the arena” (out there too)

[Meredith Bayne @ModernieTech]

@nbt Keep us updated for sure! I'm sorry this happened and I hope companies will stop doing this soon. It's not illegal to tell your coworkers your salary 🙂

My tech blog posts are starting to get a lot of hits 🔥 (I write tutorials in building #Android apps using Clean Code and MVVM). Do any of you have experience monetizing or making money off a blog? Links to some tutorials would be awesome! #girlboss #WomenInSTEM

Some quick reminders:

❤️ You don't need to know everything
💚 You have incredibly valuable knowledge and experiences
💜 You don't need to be anyone other than you
🧡 Don't compare yourself to anyone else
💙 You are awesome
