@danielanadj77 Europe is a geographical term. Continental might be a better description of identity. 24 miles of sea is a rather more concrete border than a line on a map. Hence the British mind set is necessarily more independent of cultural group think.

@irlchrism @danielanadj77 So am I. Flying from Catania, in May, the flights were split between Schengen - no checks - and a barrier and checks for non Schengen. Ireland is not in Schengen. but Switzerland is. The Swiss flight to Zurich was on the Schengen side.

@CockertonMark The regulations are for the Schengen area. Even when we were in EU, we were not part of Schengen, so would face the same queues even if we were still in the EU. It is not Farage‘s fault that we are not in Schengen, since we didn’t even join as EU members. Facts matter.
