One thing you notice about films from this era is the immense sincerity and hope that permeates through the screen. Tells us that the society that made these films was not only much happier but still valued Manifest Destiny. The goal was to inspire people. And not in a fake and gay corporate slop way. Movies from this era genuinely inspired you to do great things in an authentic way. The same way that Steve Irwin inspired millions with his sincere love of animals.

Now everything is reddit-tier social media posturing. The characters in this scene would have made some kind of corny libslop joke. Hard to imagine a worse downgrade than what happened to Hollywood.
